  • According to ET News, the company plans to implement an AI feature on its devices “that can predict what consumers want in advance by improving the performance of ‘touch points’ such as keyboard and camera.”

Every one of the ‘features’ results in the exact opposite of what I want the thing to do. I have become a grumpy old man yelling “Stop fucking helping!” at hardware and software that tries to be ‘intuitive’.

Samsung devices already let you change various settings without opening the Settings menu using Bixby. However, this implementation requires users to trigger Bixby and issue a voice command. In contrast, the AI-powered solution could automatically change settings based on usage patterns.

I want it to be consistent dammit!

  • Dems do have a history of disputing election results that are the outcome of blatant voter suppression. Kind of hard to have a free and fair election when people are turned away from the polls, or not enough time is allocated to count votes, or people are removed from the voter rolls for bullshit reasons. You know, things that led to the Voting Rights Act and other practices.

Equating that reasonable objection with “Find me the votes” and other blatant election fraud from Republicans is so damn frustrating.

  • Since the vast majority of website users are minimally engaged, I would love for a few more active posters for stability of content and discussion, but not a massive influx of users just to have users.

I also don’t want a plethora of users who get banned repeatedly for not being selfaware that their behavior is the problem. The occosional crossed wires ban, no biggie, but thinking there are so many glass people that creating dozens of alts is necessary is not a good look.

  • Not mixing fabrics and certain food practices were originally based on lived experience, like safety guidance, before getting coopted by religion. Kosher practices avoid cross contamination, and mixed fabrics could have something to do with temperature regulation in desert areas where it swings between extreme heat and cold daily. Or it could have existed to discourage lying about prodict quality by those who would sneak in poor quality materials.

When religion got ahold of these concepts they were absolutely twisted into controlling people.
