Technology@lemmy.ml•Microsoft trims more CPUs from Windows 11 compatibility listEnglish
31·11 months agoMaybe not new, but probably some refurbished ones out there.
Though, I was in Bogota and at a Panamericana store selling new computers I was surprised how many of them were sporting Windows 10 stickers. Didn’t look close enough at the CPUs though.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Europe: Prepaid, internet only, no recurring feesEnglish
7·2 years agoIf your laptop supports esim you can checkout https://esimdb.com/ which as a pretty comprehensive list. Most of these are prepaid for X months and you get Y GB of data. So could fit what you need.
Writing Wikipedia articles about topics I’m interested in. Great way to learn more and share it with others.
What do you mean it doesn’t support repeated tasks? I have bunch of monthly tasks that show up once per month.
Yeah it’s kinda the opposite of “New interface, old implementation.”
Which I learned from https://henrikwarne.com/2024/01/10/tidy-first/

3·2 years agoThat’s probably the easiest thing I’ve seen so far. Still a bit of a pain when sharing from other apps but I might give it a try.

Android@lemmy.world•Is there an app you can share text to that will append that text to a url and open it in the browser?English
2·2 years agoI took a quick look and this looks promising but I’m not sure how to use the pattern checker module.
Could you please explain a little more what would be replaced?

Technology@lemmy.ml•Opinion | Our Oppenheimer Moment: The Creation of A.I. Weapons By Alexander C. Karp of PalantirEnglish
6·2 years agoThey are far too chill about using ML to kill people:
While other countries press forward, many Silicon Valley engineers remain opposed to working on software projects that may have offensive military applications, including machine learning systems that make possible the more systematic targeting and elimination of enemies on the battlefield. Many of these engineers will build algorithms that optimize the placement of ads on social media platforms, but they will not build software for the U.S. Marines.

Wild how chill they are about using ML to kill people.
