So strange to me to see temperatures that are like a normal summer 30 years ago being seen as some end all scenario.
Do your homes not handle 40C+ weather? We run a single window AC that cools the whole house in the weather you describe.

This is gonna piss some people off, but the worst one is Toyota by a mile. I rent a lot of cars and they are the only one that I can see inside of other vehicles. They either dont adjust them or are purposely pointing them up for some sort of sales reason.
The auto dimming stuff isnt allowed the US yet. Other issue is most cars default to auto highbeams, which suck dick at turning off when needed.

This is completely wrong. Higher mounting means they can be pointed more down, which gives a bigger buffer to them blinding people when the back of vehicle squats. Bus and truck headlights arent an issue because their suspension doesn’t squat under normal loads.
Vehicle manufacturers in the US have to meet the new headlight requirements. Which require headlights to be bright as fuck and basically parallel to the ground. Then rear suspension is left soft to improve ride quality in all suvs. Put some weight in it and the front of the vehicle points up. Pickups are usually bad because the suspension is modified or it’s overloaded.
A quarter of drivers i swear leave their highbeams on. I have stopped caring and just installed blind people highbeams. 10x brighter than a high output halogen usually gets them to turn off their highbeams.

I grew up in a sort of non religious republican household. The answer your looking for is republican voters in the US are just stupid as fuck when it comes to reality. They live in a bubble of hatred that keeps them confused about how anything really works. Its why it’s impossible to explain anything to them. Tribalism cranked up to 11.
Took me 6 years of college to stop being a republican dumb shit. I was raised so racist and sexist and I’m so glad I grew some empathy in school.

The recipe is different for the store brand. I did this stuff in the dairy industry for a while. Its not production cycles in dairy, it’s vats. So store brand orders a few vats of product, with way lay less actual milk or doesnt specify as high a minimum quality milk products. More dyes and filler during finishing and no aging. All store brands are essentially flavored and colored mozzarella. They are lower quality.
I still buy them though. Mozzarella is good enough for most recipes.
For other products it’s similar. Lower tolerances on inputs and outputs to reduce cost. Still probably 80% as good as name brand.

Half of our contractors flew in from Mexico for my current project. Its like 70/30 with them for good/bad. Which is better than basically any installers I’ve worked with previously.
China in my experience is slavery painted over with the word automation. Any work I’ve done over there has an insane amount of obscurity to hide the slavery.

Wtf are you talking about. We do use ML for basic maintenance predictions. In general it’s useless though.
I’m awake during a fuckin maintenance window right now. You know literally nothing about automation based on how you talk about it.

You are so wrong I dont have simple words to describe it.
I’m a controls engineer who literally installs automation systems. AI is mostly useless in our industry, Claude barely scratches the surface of what we do. The coding is somewhat simple. The problem is how difficult the physical interaction is.
Having worked with Chinese controls people, they arent any better than the US engineers often they are significantly worse. No idea why. The guys from Mexico are way better from my experience.

My education is mechE so I’m kind of cheating when it comes to guessing.

Concrete is a lot stronger than asphalt. The road deck is probably a thin concrete layer, with asphalt on top. The supports are probably solid concrete and a lot of rebar. Solid concrete will shrug off large explosives, but the road deck can be damaged with small explosives.
Im just guessing though.

Why? It raises the octane, so you can run more boost easily. It just requires more fuel delivery because it has lower energy density. Are you near injector or fuel pump flow limits?

There is a video that was never released of his death. The claim was that the sting ray hit his heart directly, which makes sense. Sting rays are very easy to agitate accidentally, sort of like a bee. He got really unlucky even if he were annoying an animal.
Hate the pointless narrative that he was bad for wildlife. Most American millennials love nature because of Steve. He is why we like the aussie accent in bluey imo.

We are all arguing different hypotheticals. My problem is my personal experiences.
One of them was a rapist. The other was a high level tech salesman child abuser. So I’m 2 for 2 and my opinions are skewed forever.

Different life situations for everyone, I think.
I don’t mean strictly professional honesty, but my experiences leak into how I view something like this. The biggest liar I know is still in jail for raping children, so I have a skewed view of honesty.
My industry and group are weird when it comes to credentials. We don’t have a strict, you need this degree situation.

I value honesty more than most people I’m realizing. If a hire is open about their credentials I would not care.
I’ve witnessed what happens when people are ok with liars. It’s gross, and no one should normalize it.

Honesty is my problem with it. If they were open about it I wouldn’t care. But if they hid it and were hired because of the degree I’d fire them almost regardless of their work.
It’s something I value because dishonest people are usually quite horrible in my life experience.

I dont know how I feel about this.
On one hand, degrees are somewhat good for education in lots of industries.
On the other hand, I would fire someone instantly if they had cheated their degree like this.
Degrees are also very expensive.
I guess if it was a useless degree then it wouldn’t matter in the first place.

Or yah know a representation of the most important right we have in the US.
I understand your level of stupid, I used to be a registered republican.

From $3.50/gallon to $5.99/gallon on the west coast in the US. We absolutely are feeling the effects of these stupid actions.
$100 for a tank is relatively normal though. Our tow vehicle has a 36 gallon tank so even $3/gallon gets expensive.
Not really. My house is from the 1960s and we were able to update it to handle 40C+ days consecutively.
The brick vs balloon frame argument isnt really bait. Stick frame is easy to update and make energy efficient. I think there is a real discussion to had about modernizing older homes in Europe to handle the future.
