They are Iranian, Serbian and something else, if I’m not mistaken. An interesting mix.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How would you react if Reddit joined the fediverse?
10·1 year agoThey would block lemmygrad, so I don’t really have to care. Being on lemmygrad makes that stuff self selective. 🎉

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Does one have to be an iconoclast or revolutionary these days to be validly left? I consider myself to be left of center, and very much in favor of progressive policies.

2·1 year agoWe’re not advocating violence. Your premise is wrong.
But we know our adversaries commonly use violence, so we’re aware it exists, and we know we have to prepare for it.
Are colonialist governments not violent? How do you remove from office a government that commits violence against their people, en masse, to destroy their land with mining operations?
Concrete example: how would the Congolese vote the French out, when anyone organising peacefully against the French is assassinated?
The point is not violence. But it would be naive to ignore the violence of our adversaries.
Dude. Fucking buttons. We’re so amazing!
I had a low end Samsung like this and I miss it so much.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If there's one thing you want people to learn, what would it be and why?
6·2 years agoClass consciousness.
So then we stop fighting each other for peanuts and look at who gets to benefit from our generalised political apathy.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some marketing tactics that you dislike ?
6·2 years agoI dislike the urgency thing. “4 more people looking at this, only 1 spot left”.
I also hate when it when the ads follow me around every social media platform.
That’s why I love it here. Thank you lemmy.
Because updates also add paywall, which is worse than hackers! /s

Technology@lemmy.ml•Study Finds That 52 Percent of ChatGPT Answers to Programming Questions Are Wrong
33·2 years agoOmg, I feel sorry for the people cleaning up after those codebases later. Maintaing that kind of careless “quality” lines of code is going to be a job for actual veterans.
And when we’re all retired or dead, the whole world will be a pile of alien artifacts from a time when people were still able to figure stuff out, and llms will still be ridiculously inefficient for precise tasks, just like today.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How should I change my polite behavior to be more accommodating?
6·2 years agoFunny, but problematic. I know it’s a joke.
I like the idea to use unexpected cumpliment, as “my connoisseur”, “my most esteemed”, “my commander”, “my captain”, “my sibling”, “my comrade”, “boss”, “friend”, or something.
Pointing at physical characteristics? Not as amazing.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you daily drive Wayland, if so since when, if not when will you?
1·2 years agoI need full screen share and I think it isn’t there for wayland. But the track pad support is better in wayland.
How does it compare to vic2? I still love vic2.

I wasn’t aware of the controversy, but I’m not surprised it’s yet another mess caused by the existence of the British empire.
