Personally I still prefer the desktop because I can choose exactly where I prefer performance, and where I can make some tradeoffs. Also, parts are easier to replace when they fail, making them more sustainable. You don’t have that choice with a laptop since it’s all prebuilt.

Charge the ICE top officials as an accessory to murder until they release the names and give access to the evidences.

If only salary and net worth would be tied to the actual effort made at work.
Almost all CEOs would be homeless.

Sadly no way to host your own instance yet, but it does look promising.

Brainfart on my part, I meant to write MeshCore. Corrected my comment.

After having tinkered with both, I think I prefer MeshNode MeshCore because it tries to reduce chatter and IMO provide a better structure, however Meshtastic is easier to get into as all nodes will act as a repeater too, reducing the amount of setup required to have a functional network. If you’re in a medium sized city, there is likely some MeshCore repeaters out there, so you can try it only with only a companion device.
MeshCore seems to have the ability to reach much further away by reducing chatter (64 hops vs 3 hops in Meshtastic)

Same person who said
Well, that’s OK, that’s what you should be doing. I mean, it’s a good thing for him to sign a trade deal. If you can get a deal with China, you should do that, right?
Keep tariffing your own citizens then.

Looks like they’ll need a manufacturer to jump into the iron lung market.

Bunch of cowards. You can be pro-enforcement and also be pro-due process and human rights.

Eufy is a sub-brand of Anker, for those unaware.
You can connect Eufy cameras to your NAS (RTSP) if you want to completely avoid sending the recording to the cloud, or only stored on the MicroSD card.

At least they covered that 😬

The part that worries me is what happens when the glasses batteries are empty. Do they get fall back to “long-distance / myopia” mode so that you can still see at at distance and able to drive?
I love tinkering with gadgets, but sometimes the manufacturers of these tech-based version forget to cover the basics before enhancing it with tech.
A good example are smartwatches. They can be filled with sensors, but they need to at least do one thing well, and that is to show time reliably.

It will inevitably focus more on pleasing its public investors than anything else, therefore enshittification.
Maybe Steam/Valve is a unicorn, but it’s not publicly traded and it’s doing just fine.

Negligence doesn’t judge hindsight outcomes, it judges whether the officer’s perceptions and decisions were reasonable under the circumstances. Stress explains behavior, it does not excuse it. If an officers own actions created the danger, misread a non-threat, or violated training, policy, or basic tactical principles, then their perception under stress can itself be negligent.

They escalated the situation, didn’t follow the procedures and put everyone, including themselves at risk and someone died. There’s at least some criminal negligence.

He placed himself in a situation that could put his life in danger, and may escalate to lethal force if the person panics, which is likely what happened here.
It’s likely a case of officer-created jeopardy.
Appreciating a currency isn’t a crime 🤣
