Sunshine works perfectly fine with nvidia on linux for me, what issue have you run into?
I’m running a 4070ti on the most recent nvidia open source drivers on arch for reference.

I was just blaming the usb-c connection to my monitor and throttling on a combo of windows and corporate bloatware, I guess I feel a bit better that I’m not the only one.
The connection to my monitor is the most frustrating, sometimes won’t even recognise it, sometimes after blanking the display it’ll come back with the wrong resolution but still display like it was the original, it’s super bizarre. Literally never had an issue with my personal Asus zenbook in either Debian or w11.
I ripped the bandaid off last month, there’s definitely fiddling and hdr is still in early days (works in gamescope, but found that can have issues with my nvidia card), I’ve been playing veilguard on proton ge for the last week, and proton experimental supports dlss frame gen now which is huge for me.
It’s definitely in the good enough state imo, and it seems to rapidly be getting better.
First computer I built had a BFG 7600gt with the first upgrade I ever did was a BFG 8800gt
Miss BFG and EVGA for nvidia cards.
The have active electronics in them so that if any non-apple right angle connectors are used it limits them to usb 1.0 speeds and 5v 0.5A power delivery. It’s for your safety.
xFire was great, didn’t know the whole yahoo thing
Kinda liked the separate applications for voice and chat, we used ventrilo over teamspeak for reasons I don’t recall but all of that is just ancient history at this point (was using that like literally 20 years ago)
When I do my own, I’ll give the dough a long cold ferment (I’ve done sourdough and preferment versions of a recipe I like, it’s pretty simple just adds some olive oil, Flour Water Salt Yeast has a really decent recipe as well) and stretch it thin.
Sweet + savoury is a favourite of mine, one of the best was
Yeah I like Hawaiian, but it’s way better with peameal bacon or streaky bacon than ham, even better with pickled jalapeños or some other hot pepper
The classic one that my partner and I had when we where dating was
Don’t eat a lot of frozen, it’s good to have on hand like frozen dumplings as a quick thing, honestly as much as loblaw’s sucks (Canadian grocery chain) their brand (President’s Choice) makes some really nice pizzas, or Dr Oetker.
Tend to order takeout from local places over chains
Just for the heck of it, if you heat protein enough to denature it but have no Maillard reaction (let’s say you’ve just made a hard boiled egg), would that not be considered cooking by that definition?
My understanding is that denaturing is a physical structure change, not a chemical one (and according to Wikipedia can be reversible in some cases), not a biochemist or food scientist though so totally accepting that my understanding is incorrect/incomplete.
Be really interested to know what it’s made out of. Had a coworker who used to work in forgings and did some stuff that got sent to nuclear plants, they said that they had really strict requirements on material compositions, specifically needed to ensure that the (think it was steel, may have been something else) material had basically no traces of cobalt in it because the cobalt would becomes radioactive over the service life.
Wish that the mirror designs you see on trucks for towing was standard, having that second parabolic mirror with a standard mirror is amazing and I’ve had that as my setup forever now on a small car, can see everything in those.
Something like this setup also takes getting used to but seriously worth it.
If you’re ok with some bulk, go for an nvme enclosure. I have a sabrent one with a 256 GB crucial gen 3 drive in it, it’s a slow cheap drive, still substantially better than any usb key and you can put one together for under $100 cad including a longer high speed cable.
I just did a fresh install off of my usb key and wow, super slow compared to any time I’ve done off my enclosure
https://openrgb.org/ has decent hardware support
Aussie Techmoan with Ashens for good measure.
They must be big mad still.
I’m not sure if regedit has changed much either, certainly seems like it’s the same since using it in xp? Odbc windows are 100% 3.1 though.
Feel like task scheduler, event viewer and partitioning tools have been relatively static as well, but they’re not as old as the odbc window. Tbh I’m not surprised that administrative/dev tools haven’t had a ui change.
Legit have never had an issue with multi boot and windows like ever, tbf I don’t go into windows that frequently anymore but it’s never given me grief in at least a decade. I know my experience isn’t universal though, so sorry to anyone who does have boot issues after windows updates.
In the worst case, could use bcdedit and use the windows boot loader (tbh I have no idea if that works here, but could be worth a try)
Some monitors have inbuilt KVM switches, have an MSI ultrawide (model escapes me sorry) I bought a few years ago that I use to flip between usbc and dp. Configurable though, could set it up to flip between HDMI and DP and assign usb to whatever one I prefer. It’s way nicer than the switch + swapping inputs manually I had been using.
Not the person you replied to but for interest, It was 25 hard capped in grade school only because of the program I went through back years ago, though looking now 25-30 is petty consistent in that region as of last year. Highschool was larger, maybe 30, less once going into upper year courses, literally 8 of us took comp sci and that was combined gr11 and 12
Ontario, Canada for reference. 20 seemed low to me too tbh, but not out of the realm of possibility.
No problem, most games I’ve tried run without much fuss just with proton enabled. For others, protondb is great (pointed in the right direction to get Jade Empire running) or fiddling with settings yourself, gamescope helps a lot even if I’ve found it has some issues with nvidia cards (had games freeze with hdr for example), more of my issues are probably related to having an ultrawide tbh.
