What is your threatmodel here?
The problem for me with completely self hosting it is that it’ll be relatively hard to get my backup, availability and sync requirements satisfied without a lot of effort.
Whereas I trust encryption in theory enough to hand my encrypted data to anyone. If the implementation is properly audited then I also trust that.
Most of my passwords are for accounts with 2fa anyway so even if both the storage leak and the encryption turn out to be subpar my threatmodel is still not violated.
The problem is, most organizations don’t actually need the very specific benefits that come with microservices and are also in no way equipped to deal with the tremendous increase in complexity that comes along with distributed systems.
Worst of both worlds 👍

You do you but if you are looking for a keyboard centric workflow you might have a better time with sidebery and vimium.
Never heard of that site but looks cool, thanks!
Define difference. For me personally it’s pretty cool to finally have some sort of community that seems like minded on at least the surface level instead of just constantly being stared at as if I were a fish who just questioned the usefulness of water.
Will it spontaneously make come about utopia? Probably not but if that’s your lower bar for doing anything I’m pretty sure you are gonna have a bad time.
You are saying this is a good thing right?

Seeing that almost nobody around me can take proper breaks because of all sorts of habitual factors it does seem like something you have to practise. Also, it’s an activity of actively not focusing on a stressor is still an activity. (Debatable in a tricky zen master way I know, but are you actually a tricky zen master?)
Seems like a skill to me.

A sentence I did not expect to read today…
I see plenty of Empathy in the world, compassion is what we need I think. Empathy ironically makes people egotistical becaause if the feeling they emphesize with is bad they might blame the victom for transmitting them ‘bad vibes’ for instance. Or you might make an unfair decision because it appealed to your emotions. However with compassion you recognize someone is in need of help and try to provide that help, sidestepping all sorts of nasty pitfalls and leaving you a lot chiller.
God yes one of my favorite quotes! <3
