They said it in space too.
They said it in space too.
Teslas are not upper class. They’re cheap, shitty cars. The handful of people driving Cybertrucks are paying 100k, but that’s not because they’re upper class, they’re just financially irresponsible.
Now $1250 to fix since parts tariffs are coming in May. As an owner of an AMG this is annoying and while I have the money to ignore these impacts it’s still frustratingly stupid that it’s even happening at this level. Every part to repair my car usually has to be shipped from Germany which means you and I will be paying more.
Also, new German cars are mostly touch screens and capacitive buttons. So they need frequent electrical components when they fail.
Also, 99% of German car buyers were the same people paying double for a G wagon during COVID and are now so upside down in their loan that the cars are falling like a rock for pricing. Those people have jobs that generally depend on a healthy economy…
I enjoyed the “we gotta lower the national debt for our kids” which quickly converted into “we gotta raise the national debt and we’re going to go into more debt” all in the same month.
Best I can do is drop the taxes on the rich. 👉👈🥺
Telling someone to “get to the back of the bus” while in the same comment trying to say Race didn’t play a factor is some major yikes.
Hilary Clinton was also “cruising” at those ranges and lost too… because of the electoral college and middle America. Considering you make racist ass statements I wouldn’t expect you to understand the intricacies or Misogyny and race as a factor into Kamala. I’m not even a supporter of her. I called her losing the second they announced she was the new candidate.
Nebraska gets one electoral vote per 400k people. California gets 1 per 731k. Nebraska gets two senators to represent 2 million people while California gets two senators to represent 39.5 million people.
Stop acting like this is some moment of Nebraska having progressive clarity. It isn’t. Had states like Nebraska with unproportional representation actually voted for more progressive candidates we wouldn’t be in this boat. But sure, bemoan the states who have tried to do something but can’t because of an antiquated system. Even though nothing would have changed since Trump also won the popular vote this go around anyways.
Also, Kamala didn’t lose because she was a moderate. She lost because she’s a mixed race woman. Not saying progressive policies aren’t my values and aren’t appreciated, but people want to look at Kamala and think we lost because she had a middle ground personality rather than the harsh reality that the voter base isn’t ready for a mixed race woman to lead the country.
When the FUCK did I claim to be a one man army? Holy shit my dude. I simply said I’m trying to convince my other progressive/liberal friends to arm themselves and keeping myself armed. If I thought I was a one man army I wouldn’t be trying to get them to arm themselves. Your point doesn’t stand because it’s coming from an assumption that you’ve made not from truth
My house isn’t intended to be a point of battle… I think you’re mistaking being prepared for something and talking about that preparation compared to building up full caches. Which I have no reason for. Look more to examples of Ukraine in the early parts of the war. That’s a rough idea of what I’d expect modern warefare/civil war. So having enough to fight off something potentially localized is important, but not the end. Being quiet on these matters is how we have ended up in this shit position.
Outside of his bump stock ban that couldn’t be farther from an actual reality. There are many, many stupid things that man will do. Taking away guns is definitely not one of them. I’m all for pointing out the insanity of this administration, but we cannot become crazy conspiracy nuts like MAGA. Trump will ruin the economy and make it so people can’t afford guns, but take them away… not at all.
That MAG have lots of guns? That I’m prepared to defend exactly what my constitution says? Or that I’m armed? Because all of them are things I would advertise. People need to learn that progressives/the left are armed too.
My wife thought I was crazy, she might have been partially right, but during Covid when people stoked up on TP I was stocking up on ammo. I told her I didn’t trust the current admin (Trump) to actually do enough and worried about a devolving system. I feel it even more with Trump 2.0… I’ve been telling all my progressive friends to go to the range and arm themselves. Those guns are floating in the hands of a ton of MAGA-folk and I don’t trust them.
The rapidly aging population of Japan is in no position to fight a war, and wouldn’t be even if it had a 10 year head start.
That’s not even provocative. That guy, and any rep allowing all this to happen, should be uneasy and uncomfortable when speaking to the public. Nothing will change when they smile like that at these meetings. The states aren’t getting any rights, they’re losing them.
You’ve mentioned the same thing as the original comment.
What does the US have to do with this story? Why are we bringing up something from 36 years ago when I can go online and find like 5 different stories on planes Russia has shot out of the sky in the last like 10 years? You’re giving their shitty shoot first and don’t say shit later policy a pass by bringing up a geo-political rival that adds nothing to the conversation.
Really digging with the “US is barely better” by going back to 1988…
This fighter jet incident last month was definitely an unexpected incident, but a far cry from shooting a civilian aircraft out of either our own airspace, or a surrounding sovereign country’s airspace.
This whataboutism is hilarious if not so misguided simply for trying to say “America bad too.”
Honestly, why even bring up the US? It’s not like as if these stories have to do with us…
I come from a family of Mexicans who are all Trump supporters. In this case it is the Mexicans fault too. If I recall Trump support among Hispanics is some of the highest in Republican history with 45% of Hispanics voting for Trump.
This is all tongue in cheek of course. They’re all too stupid to realize what can, and likely will, happen to them.
Outside of Nissans CVT yall are absolutely sleeping on their interiors. Given the price they compete in they’re doing some really amazing work.
Mitsubishi has also had the rather nice Outlander PHEV. The Mirage needs to go as it’s just too crappy and soils the brand, but their work has been fine. I owned an Evo and I’d love another, but that didn’t make them money.
Toyota has also been steadfast against BEVs (which I can sort of understand, but their Bz4X is a shit attempt) and their new turbo motors have had some reliability concerns.
Subaru builds the ugliest cars on the road with all that plastic now and their motors continue to suffer head gasket issues.
Honestly a Honda-Nissan-Mitsubishi corp would be capable of keeping up the fight. Especially given Nissan was an early player in the BEV game.
Then we could use our nukes instead of diplomacy! Nothing like wiping countries off the map because we disagree with them.
This is highly dependent on the state and even the areas within a state. Here in California for instance we have the Williams Act which lays out a ton of guidance. Some of which impact students paying for things at schools. Some districts in the state view Williams Act and 1:1 Chromebook deployments as being something that the student/parents aren’t responsible for paying for even when they purposefully damage it. This can change though from region to region in the state based on how a districts legal team and its board chooses to read the law since no one so far (at least as far as I was last aware and I work in edtech) has pushed to see where it stops or starts. I’ve worked for districts that were on separate ends of that spectrum and even in the district that made parents pay for damages we still would give them a replacement and not charge them since it was added to a “tab” and only if they wanted transcripts did they have to pay.
