They’re not dumb. Their leaders haven’t prioritized education, so they just don’t know. Of course, it doesn’t help that outside countries/religions are constantly fucking with them.

I don’t like it by association, because most of the time I hear it used by intolerant people (like right wing assholes on the “news”). Sometimes, though, I hear it used without malice, presumably because people don’t know what else to say.

Police should behave responsibly. The protest shouldn’t have had to happen in the first place. We can all agree on that.

The world is so fucked up that I HAVE to look for the “at least” and “bright” things, otherwise I’ll go insane. Some of us joke about serious things. Some of us rely on other methods. Either way, facing the enormity of the horrors surrounding us without any kind of coping mechanism is just too much.

At least now, the issue will get more attention than it would have otherwise. On the bright side, she is now a contestant for most ironic death of the year.

Just to play devils advocate, there are certain people that I don’t want to see naked, and certain kinds of sex that I NEVER want to see. I can imagine that some of that would be considered traumatizing.

Ah. I didn’t realize that Meta considered them “whistleblowers”. It’s still a shitty thing to do, but shitty is what corporations excel at.

I don’t understand why the outsourcing firm was punished. As far as I can tell, a thousand people are losing their jobs for no reason. This wasn’t their fault, and I don’t see what problem is being solved here. It makes absolutely no sense.
