IIRC, in the decades leading up to the 20th century, workers and other pro-labor bamfs in the US would go on parades around town to signal their collective strength to the bourgeoisie/industrialists and intimidate them into compliance.

Yes. The few times I’ve run into this has been great. I think people who are used to stalls initially feel weird when they hear about it but the toilets in this setup are enclosed with floor to ceiling walls and a door. It’s so much more pleasant.
Maybe also a urinal in each? Too many times have I accidentally sat on stray drips from people unwilling to put up a toilet seat in unisex bathrooms.

Every American who agrees with you needs to VOTE IN THE PRIMARY ELECTIONS at a minimum, or you’ll continue to see the same incumbents in the generals. Bonus: not as many people vote in the primaries so your vote “counts” even more.

I want more countries to start speaking up about the fascists and human rights violations in the US. It’s harder for Americans to ignore by immediately claiming partisan bias.
Even better, start refusing to do business with the economic giants and billionaires in the US, especially as the US continues to lose global influence. It hurts the rich assholes and they’re the ones who can (and do) pressure the gov to change on a far faster timeline than activism can achieve.
You’re right about the need to organize locally, but I don’t think it applies in this context, given local movements can realistically impact state and federal politics at a slow pace at the best of times (which is usually ok–they’re local organizations, after all).
It’s frustrating to find a lack of mechanisms to affect URGENT change to the federal government without the benefit of time, legal consistency, privacy, powerful allies, money and resources, (I could go on for ages).
