Gotcha. Cheap firetv stick would be an option for people not as tech savvy as you.

I like my Ass Youtube!
Y not use smarttube next on tv?
And the network is way smaller since it only uses phones which have the tile app installed.
Thats 50€ a month, its ridiculous and a punch on the mouth for those who supported the product in such an early stage.
As a comparison, I am using an S20FE 5G which I got for 300€ two years ago. Thats 12,50 per month and it still gets updates. Sure thats no high end phone, but I dont miss anything, fast OLED screen, 500GB storage through sd card, blazing fast, good camera.
But no security updates for the OS though which often means you kinda should think about to stop using it for more than an alarm clock, podcasts and spotify.
Probably because of Project Mainline.
Y do ez when complicated do trick?
Install Android Studio on your PC and create a new empty app. Plug in your mobile and deploy that app. Now select that app as the second one for the lower half. It should be all black, if its all white, change the background color.
Or look if there is an all black app in the store, probably a screen tester app.
Good to know. Never noticed it with my last phone (one plus). Its often not that clear which option is a Samsung addon and which is not.
Samsung has this feature build in and its called ‘Extra dim’ or similar. Its a quick setting one can get when customizing the tiles.
I used to use third party apps too, but it was annoying that you couldnt grant permissions or install new apps without deactivating the dimming app since it was a security risk to have an app which draws over other apps.
Never heard of geopdf but i found this:
https://help.locusgis.com/support/solutions/articles/47001094929-how-to-import-geotiff-or-geopdf
So you can convert your files with qgis (free) on a computer and than have a broader selection of apps like locusgis. You could also try locus (non gis) or osmand which is foss.
Well to be honest, even if each and every website wouldnt use dar patterns and there is a clear choice to refuse with one click, it would still be obnoxious to decline everytime you visit a site.
Sweet!
This looks really promising. Not available on mobile though, but I will test on my desktop.
Thanks for the answer. If I remember correctly, this plugin works by accepting all cookies in the background. Is this correct?
If so, do you also have some kind of cookie cleanup policy/plugin? Or do you really dont care about cookies?
I am using ublock and dark reader. Both are available for a long time now. Also using tampermonkey which came available some months ago.
Third party apps like nova cannot go that deep into the system like good lock. You couldnt realy use nova and have great navigation animations for example.
I love my samsung devices as a poweruser because you can customize much more and they offer really useful tools which are missing when one uses vanilla android.
Also I would really miss the option to use smart tags which still arent available for pixel devices.
I like what other people describe as ‘bloat’ on a Samsung. But I am a powetuser who actually uses a lof these functions. Sure i dont need two calenders. But i can just not activate the samsung one and hide it in the launcher. Also i would say that samsung has a better ecosystem. I am also using a samsung tablet which is superb and some samsung smart tags. If you get a pixel you dont really have an option to use any working smart tag.
Whats a github client?
