Less drama, i suppose.

Not sure why you’re downvoted as you are mostly correct.
I’m a linux user myself but i work for an msp so i manage corporate windows machines, and they mostly work just fine. But i must admit, when i take over a screen and i see the constant nagging to use a microsoft account, or onedrive, or copilot (granted, when you use Microsoft for corporate use you really have no choice but to use a microsoft account) It does make me glad i use Linux.
And our devices are almost always over $1000 so not exactly cheap machines either :)

Actually, i’m learning to Go to do just that. GPO’s are basicly just configuration management. And there’s Ansible, Chef, Puppet. These all work on Linux.

I’ve been having depressions since i was 12. I’m 44 now.
From the beginning i have been able to pinpoint the reasons for my depressions. I’ve been a caretaker of both my parents, leading to financial stress as well. In 2020 my father died, and i decided to cut back the contact with my mother, and deal with my financial problems.
I can honestly say i’m no longer depressed, and i don’t take any meds.
At first, all my days where black. Then they went to grey, and now i have a grey day every once in a while.
For me it helps that i learned to recognize the thoughts that would spiral me down the dark path. I have a playlist of music that makes me happy. I will play it whenever the need arises.
When i was depressed, even getting up in the morning was tiresome, i had no energy for anything at all. Along the way when the depression got less and less, my energy started to return as well. Noawadays i work 40 to 60 hours a day, and i love taking long walks with my dog. For me those where the moments i started to realize the depression started to go away :)

OMG flash!! I forgot about that! What a horrible sites we made with shockwave flashplayer 😂

I remember a time when you could 't even watch videos online! The best we had where GIFs if they wheren’t too big to fit over our 33k somewhat modem connection with dial-in!
I don’t justify it, i just buy it.
If i want a motorcycle, and i have the money for it…
When i was younger i used to think about things a lot. I’m 44 now. I lost my dad 5 years ago, and my mom last year. It really changed my views on life. Yeah i save some on a savings account, but at the end of today, tomorrow is always a promise, never a guarantee. And so i live a much easier life. I buy what i want, when i want, where i want.
I used to think that would make my cynical, but it actually made me a more pleasant person, less worrying on my part. If that makes any sense?

Oddly enough i heard that in my head with trump’s voice.
What has been heard cannot be unheard!

1998, the internet was a wonderful place back then. I have made some deep connections with people i havent seen yet, but i still talk to them regulary. I don’t think thats possible now.

I once tried to jump over a big garbage container that was, ehhm… how do i put it? It was sort of under ground, but with no roof next to a staircase. (It was build in a small hill, sort of) But i missed it and fell into it. My whole back was one big scraping wound. Very painful for weeks :(

In the end i got so nervous i crossed the lines with 2 wheels on the highway, so i failed the exam :(
After the summer holidays i have a second attempt, my instructor and i are sure this time i wont be so nervous, so i’ll pass :)

Pineapple belongs on everything you like it on. No matter what others say. Life’s too short to rob yourself of things food you like, simply because other people think so.

Thats so sad to read :(
I wish you all the best! Hopefully things get better!

That depends on who really benefits from the money.

Hopefully, i get my drivers license! Exam is on June 23th.
I’m 43, always been taking care of my parents. Getting my drivers license is the first thing i do “on my own” so im pretty excited! Then i’ll spend the next 6 months enjoying not having to go through public transportation :)
As much as possible, yes
