Yes we know that it used the Signal protocol in 2016 but there is no doubt it drifted a lot since. A lot of changes were made to Signal since and we don’t know how WhatsApp protocol evolved. You can’t assume they’re still equivalent now. And one is open source with reproducible builds while the other is not.

11·4 months agoSomething is off with your setup then, the past breakage was a few years ago, it’s working fine since. Do you have any other extension installed that could be detected? And you were using uBlock Origin?
Does LibreWolf add the missing API to enable Cookie AutoDelete to work? Because I thought it didn’t work since Firefox 86 and TCP/strict mode.
Also Firefox already has a way to delete cookies and storage between sessions:
privacy.clearOnShutdown_v2.cookiesAndStorage. No need for an extension.

I mean I love it and wouldn’t go back but it was a difficult journey, at leat at the beginning. Even today I sometimes find myself having to go read the code because the documentation is lacking.
I love NixOS but it’s clearly not a good distro to suggest for a first time on Linux.

There are some examples of projects that use CleanURLs db in its readme but most have not been updated for a long time.
There are plenty of sites that use more than one parameters. It’s true that a lot of sites now use the history API instead of url parameters but you can still find plenty, and you have no garante about the parameters order. Any site with a search page that have a few options will probably use url parameters instead of the history API. It’s easier to parse and will end up being shorter most of the time.
Well for youtube it’s quite easy, there are only 4 useful parameters that I can think of, the video id
v, the playlist idlistandindexif it’s a playlist and the timetif you’re sending a specific time in the video. Everything else can be removed. I can link you multiple French article that explain it was developed by the DINUM. Please research a little bit before posting, looking for skills on LinkedIn means nothing. Also the French entrepreneurs that usually get contracts for this were very angry about it.
