I just visited HK for the first time and it’s remarkably beautiful while similar in a lot of ways to NYC. I would be sad to see it slip into the darkness of an authoritarian regime.

They control the House, the Senate, and the Executive Branch. They can create and pass the laws if they so desired. Nothing is stopping them from doing the right things and granting the will of the people. Do you think they will? Why or why not?

Do you think they’ll give massive tax breaks to billionaires instead? Or do you think they can be negotiated with to provide for all of America?

They could easily pass legislation that guarantees a universal basic income so that everyone could afford the basic necessities. That would all but eliminate poverty in America. Why wouldn’t they make that happen?

Now that they control all three houses, they can make it happen if they wanted to. Do you think they would and if not, what would be their excuse?
