Well I wouldn’t recommend data & analytics right now, if you treasure your sanity.
Imagine tech debt accumulated over decades absolutely skyrocketing because LLM can generate thousands of lines of SQL or Python that noone understands.

I mean, I’m sure the same applies to all tech sectors and likely worse. I do admit it also helps us fix and uncover some old and buried bugs. It’s just not used with any sort of care or long term plan.

Mark my word, a couple decades from now when the bees are dead and ecosystems are dying, we’ll have bio startups making mutant superbees and tech startups making pollinating microdrone swarms.

It also says the goal isn’t to track every data center out of the 4000 operating in the US, just the ones the public is concerned about, yet there are over 8000 user submissions shown.
This erodes my confidence in the data, as there appear to be no checks or filters.

That’s fair. I’m probably not thinking it through. I can certainly see how this could quickly go downhill. I think we’ll see the reality of it with today’s school generations getting jobs in a few decades.

That’s like people being worse at riding horses today. We don’t need the skill because we have tools that replaced it and generally do a better job.

Well, apparently it can do some recovery of corrupted .rar, but who uses that format anyway

In the old sense of the word, we don’t have an actual AI yet, but it’s true that LLM and AI have become interchangeable.

That would not even be legal on today’s roads, at least in EU for new vehicles.
