Sans-serif fonts predate the internet, but not by much. Their popularity started in the 1920s because they look “cleaner” and more modern. I tend to agree with this sentiment, I wouldn’t want to look at serif fonts all day long.

The English language loves ambiguity. Look at all the words with multiple meanings yet spelled the same way, even though we haven’t exhausted all 3-letter word possibilities.

Back when rooting was all the rage I tinkered with hosting various services. It just didn’t make much sense for such an underpowered device, amongst other reasons (battery swelling).

I did use an old phone to “host” a game automation. One of those “idle clicker” / RPG games since I’m so lazy. After about 2 months the battery swelled and popped the back cover off. That was the end to that idea…
