I’m dissatisfied with either. One actively repels me but the other isn’t appealing either.
Neither is th default here because neither is the incumbent, though Kamala is closer.
So if neither is asking for my vote or bringing anything i want, why would I show up?
Blame me if you like, but the truth is they failed because they were not appealing enough. And that’s simply all there is to it.

What you may not be able to understand is that Trump stopped all the “moderate republicans” from leaving him and the dems failed to win them.
The dems ran their campaign on winning moderate republicans. It failed. As it was always going to fail.
The one thing Trump has done right to win was appeal to the people who might listen.

The fundamental problem is all those results are on people with abnormal brain function. Because of the corpus calusotomy.
It can’t be assumed things work that way in a normal brain.
People do make up things in regards to themselves often. Especially in the case of dissonance. But that’s in relation to themselves, not the things they know. Most people, if you asked what op did will either admit they don’t know or that you should look it up. The more specific the question the less likely to make something up.
Funny thing is, that the part of the brain used for talking makes things up on the fly as well 😁 there is great video from Joe about this topic, where he shows experiments done to people where the two brain sides were split.

That is not true. I’m not voting for someone who doesn’t appeal me and Neither Trump nor kamala did.
Now when Trump was president he made some awful decisions… Kamala and Biden also have.
And, in case you haven’t noticed things aren’t particularly great right now. Something that the dems have had plenty of time to fix, or work to find some kind of solution.
For all their harping on about how important it is to stop Trump they sure never acted as though he was a credible threat, never put contingencies in place and never planned ahead for stopping it.
In short, no matter which way you think of it. They didn’t earn my vote
