I remember when he said “We must stop listening to the experts and start listening to common sense.” I rolled my eyes at that one.

That phrase doesn’t bother me, but I can understand the sentiment. People tend to use the same “clever” phrases over and over, and when there is a phrase you don’t particularly like, you end up hating it after the 100th time.

In my case, it’s “looking at you, X” where X is not a person. E.g. “I’m looking at you, Unity framework!”

Or whenever there is a post about a wholesome prank, someone will always comment “See? This is a good prank. Nobody got hurt, everyone laughs.” At this point, I’m inclined to think that people deliberately do it as a version of “First post!!”

I can’t disagree with that. Which makes it worse - tampering with evidence.

No, not everyone. If I’m a public servant, I should be using work phones for work stuff. And I should expect any government-sanctioned investigation office to have access to it.

I’m not going to look into the parent poster’s history, but they are right. As much as I despise Trumpists, the GOP and the media enabling them, RawStory is no better. Whenever I see such headline, I get to say “let me guess… yup. RawStory.” I’m this close to blocking them. I’m done with yellow press, be it from Fox News, Breitbart or, yes, RawStory. Give me something more objective, like APNews*, for example.

*I don’t like APNews movie critics, to be fair.

I almost feel sorry for him. Because he doesn’t act in isolation. He is surrounded by yes men (and women) doing everything he says. Most may do it because they’re morons, but some are doing it because it’s beneficial to them. Plus Russia.
