love ya for that, keep up the good work

lol that’s hilarious if you actually believe any of that would happen under corpo rule by those two.

So in bed with the war criminal Cheneys. Yeah, it’s too bad there wasn’t a viable alternative to Trump, but that’s what you get with despicable corrupt DNC.
She should run again with Hillary on the ticket.

They knew damn well there would be no vote and no deal.
If you live in NY, consider primarying Schumer and Jeffries. They have got to go, true cancer.

Agreed - journalism is pretty much dead in the US. Billionaires now own all the major media outlets, which are multinational for-profit corpos mind you, and it’s raw propaganda all the way down.
A few good podcasters, dropsite news, and to a lesser extent the intercept and the guardian, are pretty much all that’s left. It’s a sad, stark reminder of the rampant anti-intellectualism of the modern era.

Headlines like this are designed to disarm liberal dissent. Trump’s base of support remains unchanged.

Numbered days? I don’t know anything about that.
-Mike Johnson, of fed gov’t leadership

A true nemesis would investigate his financial crimes with Russian oligarchs.

This has been the liberal strategy employed by Dems for at least 30 years now - “vote for me because at least I’m not as terrible as my Republican opponent.” This has many downsides, including overall lack of messaging capability by Dems, no direction by Dems, and ratchet effect pulling the Overton window completely off the right side of the scale.
Now, we’re starting to see something new. I am not familiar with Long so can’t speak to his campaign specifically, however many young dems have been making significant inroads by embracing socialism, analyzing the vast shortcomings of American day to day material living conditions, and running on a platform specifically targeted to help working class people’s lives be better. This resonates with many voters and if more Dems catch on to this and pursue populist policies in earnest, there will be a massive reckoning coming as a political sea change in the next few years.
However, if it’s more campaigns of “orange man bad,” Dems will once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We already know the guy is a rapist, a grifter, and a convicted felon. What are you going to do differently that is better? This is the question every reporter should be asking if they want to be considered an actual journalist.

Get caught trying, it’s way better than doing literally nothing. Where are all the other house dems on this?

People outside the US buying politicians is a large part of why we’re in this mess. Their “vote” counts more than US citizens’

Coulda had Jessica Cisneros instead of this corrupt sack of shit, but the Dems’ primary mission is to prevent anyone left of center from ever getting into office and Pelosi spent millions to ensure Cuellar achieved this objective in his election.
As you point out, Cuellar is doing his job perfectly from an establishment perspective. Hope those in his district don’t make the same mistake twice.

Wouldn’t disagree with you there

Miller and Vaught deserve prison time, full stop.

This shouldn’t be that surprising, RCV will completely topple the establishment politics apple cart. When people are no longer forced to choose between the lesser of two evils, they can instead choose someone who’s a halfway decent human being who will represent them instead of corpo pac donors. It would be absolutely transformative to roll this out nationally.

Yesssssss!!!
Billionaires should be illegal - tax them out of existence.
…or just hunt them down like the savages into which they constantly seem to want us to transform.

This was always going to be the end result of gerrymandering. When you’re constantly abusing razor-thin margins, and a political sea change comes along due to your party worshiping a child raping monster, election results will be bad.
This is why repugs will almost certainly cheat in the upcoming midterms. Since elections are run by the state, I wonder if anybody will be able to stop them in Texas.

79 years and still a little crying baby. keep whining bubba schlorper
Turns out people actually do like it when your policies are aimed at helping them do better, as opposed to robbing them of what little they have left.
