Privatization is one of the recommended policies, but essentially every place that has implemented it isn’t better off now. Studies show that it works for increasing the performance of the enterprises, but making shareholders richer doesn’t really matter for standards of living. Even the IMF and IBRD have started to see issues with privatizing everything. Argentina will one day be stronger, but not as a result of these policies.
The variety in question takes 25 years to mature and so far has been resistant to cultivation.
It takes up to 72hrs for them to process it, usually it’s quicker than that though.
If you pay the developer fee you can sign for a full year, and you can have unlimited apps, but I think you can only sign 10 a day or something.
Them being right wing is bad yes, but both politicians form members of the governing coalition, including Likud. One is the deputy Speaker. Israel is not a military dictatorship, the Knesset has control over them, and it’s made clear with the numerous expressions like this that the ruling parties have a genocidal intent.
In addition, Law for Palestine has compiled lists of what they believe to be evidence of genocidal intent, including from military leaders. Some of the statements included are a stretch, but it will undoubtedly be enlightening for you to read through it.
Intent doesn’t need to be explicit, but in this case it is.
In particular:
“Deputy Knesset speaker Nissim Vaturi from the ruling Likud party wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Israelis had one common goal, “erasing the Gaza Strip from the face of the earth.” Israeli Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu, from the far-right Jewish Power party, suggested that Israel drop a nuclear bomb on Gaza and said there were “no uninvolved civilians” in the territory.”
Also the list of genocidal acts, as per the UN Genocide Convention, stipulates that any one of those acts is genocide, not that all 5 must be done. Acts 1 to 3 are very clearly being used in Gaza, and with Knesset members establishing intent it’s clearly a genocide, but arguably even without those statements the actions Israel has undertaken still fit the definition.
Gotcha! I think tressless could still be a good resource then, but from what I recall it’s mostly men.
My mom and sister have both started using minox and have started to see some positive results, but I’m not sure of the biological process that would cause follicle dormancy/death in females, so I’m not sure what results you could expect. Also to note, minoxidil can cause some shedding at first, so your hair will look thinner for a few months until it starts to regrow more.
I am not a doctor, but have had some results using minoxidil and Foligain’s Minox&Triox spray. As was pointed out in the other comment, hair follicles will start to die as you age (assuming you’re male) this is caused by DHT which is a result of testosterone breaking down. First the follicle goes dormant, and then dies. Depending on how advanced your thinning is, you can likely reactivate and save between few and most of the follicles. I hate recommending Reddit, but r/tressless is a good resource, but they pass around a lot of lingo so be prepared for that.
For blocking ads it works ok, I’ve found it doesn’t work well for AppleTV apps as all the ads are seemingly baked into the video streams. But VPNs are better for accessing geo-restricted content, which previously was very difficult on the AppleTV. So a pi-hole is quite a different use case.
I definitely agree that they will try, but I’m sure the average FB/Insta/Threads user won’t go through the process of installing a third party store just for those apps, particularly when they’re already available on the App Store. With something like Fortnite that’s not available I could see it. But with Meta products I doubt it, particularly with the older, less tech savvy crowd that tends to use them.
Exactly this. Active recovery (moving the muscles around like normal with a bit of exercise) is the best. Limping will likely cause other problems down the line.
Same. Lucky enough to find something part time but there’s so many people applying for everything it’s crazy. Best of luck!
Wow, I had no clue about the USS Liberty incident but that seems pretty damming.
I think they’re just so shameless that no amount of dirt will stick to them
I don’t disagree, but with 998 people polled, it’s not that reliable. To add to that, Rasmussen reports ran the poll and they have a rightward lean, so definitely doubtful of this polling.
Orion (when it works 99% of the time) on my Mac. It’s pretty much all the benefits of Safari plus the ability to run some Firefox/Chrome extensions. I know it’s not FOSS yet, but they at least claim to be working on it. Firefox for the other websites that don’t work on Orion (very rare), and Chrome for the others that don’t work well at all on Orion/Firefox (almost never). I’m planning on deleting Chrome overall soon.
Exactly. It seems like a lot of the research in this area is quite new (last 5 years or so), so we’re always learning more! And from my understanding, the LD50 probably isn’t that important for most people for these toxins, it’s more at what levels do they start causing detectable symptoms and by how far do they raise your risk of cancers and other diseases. “The poison is in the dose”, but just because it doesn’t kill you instantly doesn’t mean it’s not hurting you in the long term.
None are out yet, AFAIK AltStore just got approved but isn’t released yet.
