a plaintiff can succeed on a Section 1983 claim if they can present objective evidence that other similarly situated individuals who were not engaged in protected speech had not been arrested

and according to the article,

“I was the only person arrested out of roughly 200 people - and it happened immediately after I finished speaking about Venezuela,” she said.

I’m in the same camp. I have home servers that run linux and it works great there, but on the desktop I’ve run into a surprising amount of stability issues. It’s honestly worse than it was 20 years ago in that regard.

This is a bit of a nitpick, but he didn’t defend the totenkopf. He said SS bolts were common in the military and in his opinion not indicative of nazism. He commented in a thread that mentioned the totenkopf, but his comment was in reply to a message about the punisher skull and didn’t mention the totenkopf. It’s not inconceivable he didn’t read the parts about the totenkopf (though the root of the thread is a mention of it).

Supreme court justices are not actually that great at reasoning, especially the conservatives. Everyone should listen to 5-4, they do a great job revealing just how stupid the supreme court can be.

It’s got lots of uses:

• driving up fossil fuel revenues
• providing a solid excuse for laying off a bunch of employees
• disciplining labor
• offloading blame for unpopular decisions
• increasing surveillance and nonconsensual data collection
