Well some are doing it a bit more in the open than others though… USA really has no shame anymore.

Ho come on it’s not that simple. Add to that the language barrier. And in general precise language and accuracy are not making knowledge more available to laymen. Laymen don’t have to vocabulary to start with, that’s pretty much the definition of being a layman.
There is definitely value in dumbing down knowledge, that’s the point of education.
Now using AI or pushing guidelines for editors to do it that’s entirely different discussion…
One point for ChatGPT it is then… it might be a bit on the posh / haughty side but that’s better than the reddit cesspool in my book.
Yeah I’ll need the detailed judgment of this one before considering it a massive win. Consent has always been something that needs to be done willingly and freely. The issue is forcing the whole industry to give a shit about the principle. Maybe IAB will have to shift its practices but I haven’t had any panicked calls yet so I assume this isn’t systemic.
Mhhh si more plants it is. I’ll look into which of those are indigenous to Belgium and give it a go :)
Well I do… we need insects for a lot of reasons… but I fail to see what I can do for them. I’ve added a small water area, I don’t mow aggressively and let a portion of my garden absolutely wild… still I’m obviously having an abysmal and unnoticeable effect on the problem. So what now?
They say sharing so it’s solely duplicating data everywhere, effectively increasing the attack surface…
And this would violate my favourite GDPR principle ; purpose based consent. I give my data to the healthcare body for handle reimbursement and I like it that way. No need for them to share that data with anyone else. Same for the tax guy: let him scrutinise the shit outa my incomes but that’s it, don’t share it with the fucking police or whoever else.
But yeah… this is a difficult topic even in a sane country. We’re talking USA here…
Following the logic of one of my beloved enterprise data architect everything should use UUIDs as way of refer to an entity… so more like
Wouldn’t be practical to pronounce but otherwise no more problem of gimmicky names :)
Well, setting aside the geopolitics those cars are fantastic. My wife has a Seal and it is much better than my EV6 on pretty much all aspects. The only downside is the local garage which isn’t byd but a local actor who is not the best but as long as they aren’t needed this car is fantastic.
Try to read it slowly maybe?
How do you go from « saying no to cash » to « c-levels are the issue » in the context of ethical considerations for engineers that enable AI in military industrial complex?
The proverbial prospect engineer definitely decides that lives he will impacts are less relevant than his salary. That’s ethics & morality… and a seasoned AI engineer can certainly eat well enough in any other industry.
Absolutely « whatever ». I became quite cynical after working for a while in telco / intelligence / data and AI. The small addition of a few pic is just adding few contextual clues to what they have already.
Another one;
Yeah I have a full collection of super sarcastic shit like that.
I’m piping my in house camera to Gemini. Funny how it comments our daily lives. I should turn the best of in a book or something.
Remember that at a point in time they setup yours…
I would hope so. I would not be surprised that this is a US special…
When you’re the president of the fucking United States but the grief is more important to you… come on, even I would be less of a disgrace….
It’s the sharing & cross enrichment that would bother me. That your unemployment office keeps a CRM with the info makes sense. That LEA has it all and more together with the gods know what else is what I would object to. Same for how service providers store that info; there’s a fine line between storing enough and too much. Or too long. And not everything needs to be tied forever to the customer ; sometimes a hash or whatever does wonder for the legitimate purpose. Storing more is often « just in case I can market the data later » which I’m personally not agreeing with.
You’ve seen a lot of oldies that are in working order after 60+? 70+? They are exceptions, not the norm. Longer isn’t healthier. Not on a functional level. Especially for those not in an office which is I think the majority.
