Omg thank you for this! I have to go over to my mom’s to clean her litter box all the time. With this she’ll be able to do it herself!
Tornado? In Ireland? Am I crazy, or is that not normal?
Eww, keep your rotten apples away from me.
Amsterdam seems like a nice place to visit.
Jfc, I would pull my kid out of whatever school these kids wind up in. No way I want my children associating with them.
That’s a good start, but I think most people just want it to work. They don’t want to take the time to curate it all themselves.
I’d be happy if it was only twice. I see the same posts 3-4 times, regularly. I’ve taken to blocking a lot of instances, but I feel like that destroys the purpose of lemmy.
Idk, maybe reddit will eventually design an app that’s not hot garbage, and I can return there.
The problem with those other 5 communities, is that they fracture the user base. Even before the one you were using gets scuttled, the users are split between several places, and they all feel dead, because again, the user base is fractured.
I like the idea of Lemmy, but honestly don’t see how the idea is sustainable if it wants to grow.
Yes, and I don’t understand how anyone thinks it’s sustainable. Inevitably, 1 instance will rise above the rest, and become the only one that matters. But due to the ever growing number of instances, and user’s insistence that federation is the way forward, it will take years before anything palatable appears.
You’re description only leaves me with more questions. I have no idea what you’re talking about, and therefore have no answer.
Seatbelts save significant medical costs that the government has to pay for. Cigarettes do not, as the medical cost has already been paid by said smoker 10 times over due to outrageous taxes.
Smoking bans are a severe government overreach, and I will celebrate every time one gets slapped down.
None, they all had lives.
I don’t think I could ever get used to that.
I still don’t get it. Is he putting it on his balls?
Both of the responses to your comment are batshit lol.
I don’t like the idea of the government having my dna, but does anyone have a genuine (non irrational) reason it would be bad?
Everything here is correct, except the part about needing a gun safe. As long as they are stored in an area considered to be locked away from the public (e.g. your home) you’re good.
Source: am a Canadian who owns guns and stores them in my house with no safe.
Pet rock.
Their journalistic integrity. You are no one, therefore your word carries no weight. Link sources, or don’t expect people to believe you.
If you live in a big city, then unless you’re using it for more than camping, you’re absolutely wasting money (your money), and polluting unnecessarily.
If you don’t live in a big city, then I totally get it. You need a bigger vehicle to deal with undeveloped rural roads, and adverse weather conditions year round. Personally, I’m a hunter, so I need my big truck nearly every weekend during hunting season, and in the off season I love to camp as well.
