The only upside is that they won in Saxony-Anhalt. Which is the most neglectable and backwater state in Germany, with only a very small fraction of Germany (about 2% of the population). Their win is mainly based on promises they simply cannot fulfill, so if they manage to form a government, they will disappoint their big time from day one. They might terminally fuck up Saxony-Anhalt, but that’ll be no big change - that state already is a lost case.
