I asked my google home the same question and it told me that I told it that my dog is a good girl 3 times. I know it’s not great for privacy, but it made me chuckle.

I wasn’t trying to conflate the two things. I was providing a source on where the “farms” came from, and clarified that they were meant to help “drug addicts” (not minimizing your experience- just reinforcing that the wording is already not great from a lens of treating maladaptive substance use, in addition to being completely inappropriate for people who take prescribed medications.)
I neither agreed not disagreed, though I do find it problematic to be enrolling people who are neurodivergent into any kind of list for any reason without their expressed consent and ability to withdraw that consent at any times. If the reason is purely investigation/research as you say, then I believe that it should be under the same rigor and ethics considerations as any other research.
I would say that an artificial dad is the partner of a married single mom.
So angry at Nestle and the time they killed all those African babies doesn’t even hit your highlight reel. I agree- we can do without Nestle.
I’m a fan of mindfulness and gratitude practice. Also, physical exercise! Nothing like working up a good sweat when I’m mad at myself to feel better after.
It sounds that we are on the same page, in that it should not be difficult to vote. Logically it follows that introducing barriers to voting is wrong.
As for the financial piece- all I will say is that circumstances change. $50 dollars may not be much to you (or it may not have been much at the time of the initial name change), but it could mean the choice is between being able to vote or being able to eat.
Friend, I don’t think anyone is arguing that it’s impossible. The problem is that there’s an additional burden (financial and administrative- have you ever changed your name? It’s a nightmare.) being targeted at mainly women with a side benefit to the Republicans of affecting trans folks.
Do you see how that is inequitable access to voting?
I understand that many people have an incorrect understanding of DEI (and at times have had experience with it being incorrectly applied). I was actually hoping to learn where this particular person learned their viewpoint to have a conversation.
Genuine curiosity here- where did you get your definition of DEI?
Flames! Flames on the side of my face!
Taco Bell, taco Bell, product placement, for taco Bell
If something takes more than 4 years it gets lumped into “never” territory because no political party wants the next party to get credit for their work.
Guarantee it took Germany more than 4 years to recover their reputation (and even then, not enough to do well in Eurovision).
It’s poverty and brainwashing. Boyboy did an incredible breakdown on how the us military was the biggest YouTube sponsor a few years back.
One of the first things I did when I first moved out from my parents is eat a whole bag of Oreos for breakfast because I could.
It turns your poop black.
Switch 2, Slay the Spire 2, heading back to school in the Fall for the first time in 12 years.
Right? His sharpie hurricane map begs to differ.
I’m pretty sure he turned it down?
