(Side note, I’ve never seen this website but I really dig that it has question and answer summaries on the bottom. That was super cool.)
Edit: also, as somebody who is disabled who can’t lean forward without intense pain, these wheelchairs would be hell.
To add to your metaphor. The grocery store has also collected enough data on you to know exactly how much you’d be willing to pay for eggs versus how much your neighbor would be willing to pay for eggs. So they show you and your neighbor two different egg prices when you get to the cooler.

31·9 months agoWow, I didn’t even know that that was something to be concerned about. I will be much more cautious when I finally dig my Atari on the storage. It’s been probably 20 years since it’s been turned on. I don’t even know if it would turn on at this point. Thank you for the heads up!

Similar to the person who commented below. I live in a very rural area so it would be 10 bucks in gas just to drive to the closest Target to buy a pack of pens that I need for work the next day. And I know that I could just swing by on my way home from work and pick them up, but then it becomes a time thing. I mean my entire plan is to ditch Amazon prime after my current subscription expires. But man, there are some interesting things that have just become normalized with the convenience of getting things mailed to me that I’m totally going to miss. But fuck bezos

4·11 months agoThat’s a really burnt me. I bought one big switch title game and it was pokémon shield. It was 60 bucks and I was so disappointed and there was no return. I got some small indie games, Hades on the switch was really fun. But after getting my steamed deck it just opened up all of the games that are already owned on my computer. Just quickly out classed me switch.
I do wish that I could take the controllers off the side of the steam deck and play it. Kind of like the switch. I know I can just use a wireless controller, but it was just kind of a nice form factor thing.
Same. After I got my steam deck I donated my switch to the library.
My partner is a teacher and we spend around $200 a month just on snacks for their classroom (snacks have to be individually packaged, and there’s 36 kids per class, so that’s 72 snacks a day, Because the kids have a morning snack and an afternoon snack.) Even with donors, choose PTA and other groups. We just know that there’s a certain amount of our income each month that’s going to go too supporting her classroom. It sucks but we have accepted it, because by us not doing that the kids are just going to suffer.
