  • I can, but we’re gone at work all day. Having something that can engage them when they want would be very useful. We play with them, but I think it’s a bit of a generalization to say it’s dehumanizing or we can’t make the time. There’s nothing wrong with wanting an additional thing besides myself to enrich my pets lives.

Edit: also, the angles. Our home is narrow and so to give them a good workout it requires a lot of moving around and holding the laser pointer over my head to get a good angle on it. Clearly you don’t have a cat, cause it’s 20-30 minutes when I bust it out, not 5. They fucking love the thing. Having something that knows the bounds of the space and can move through it smoother and more consistently than I can would be great.

  • Thanks for all the advice and responses. Sounds like anything coming to fruition is pretty unlikely, as I don’t have $100k to work with. The product was a programmable wall/ceiling mounted laser pointer for cats. Could map your space, design patterns, and maybe have some tracking to keep the laser in front of your pets and avoid it shining in their eyes. The controller app would connect via Bluetooth so it’d be local and no personal data like video or mapping would get stored, as I wanted to emphasize privacy.

Maybe someone more qualified can do something with it. Or Amazon will build it. Idc, it’s just something I’d like and thought it was a pretty good idea. One that, admittedly, I probably won’t do the work required to actually make.

For most, “College” is the first 4 or so years getting a bachelor’s degree. Beyond that is “Grad school” where you get Graduate degrees like PhDs, Masters degrees, and whatnot.

I only did undergrad and the degree was in acting so take what I say with a grain of salt as I am an authority on practically nothing.

I went to high school in Manassas and there was an interesting blend. Like you had yor ignorant, racist, seemingly country assholes, but their parents work in DC for the government and make 300k a year. The older generation seemed more liberal or old school “fiscal” Republican, but my generation seemed full of the pampered edgelord and entitled frat bros that eat up trumps garbage.

  • I get the impulse to push back with this “well then he isn’t eligible to run cause he’s had two terms” but it just enables their argument. “The election was stolen so he never got to Serve his second term blah blah blah”

The dudes a fucking clown and a crook and has no business in the white house, but saying stuff like this just gives them ammo for their bullshit.

Edit: I know they’re going to find something to bitch about regardless, but my point it let’s not make it as easy as this. Let them keep grasping at straws like they have been with Walz.

Edit 2: Just realized I responded to the post and not the comment that I’m talking about. Edited to add clarity…

  • Enough? No.

Edit: It’s really not good. He’s pulled it together a bit, but there’s no way around it. At least Trump unraveled to his usual form. It would’ve been worse if he kept his composure he had in the first 15 minutes. My heart sank when Joe looked like he was watching cartoons dance around the room and TRUMP was the cool and reserved candidate.
