… isn’t the downvote button explicitly meant to voice your disagreement with something?
I don’t understand why people complain about downvotes. If you don’t want to see them, join an instance where they’re disabled (like mine).
just a trans girl who likes to code and play music

Without knowing specifics, I’m going to assume the “attack pride parades” bit is the people protesting against corporatized pride parades that are heavily sponsored by genocide-funding corporations.
Nintendo probably thinks it’s theft lol
nuh uh According to my extremely conservative coworker, that stuff causes cancer and big soda is trying to kill us. Something like that
AOC’s birthday is this October, so I believe she would be eligible just in time lol
btw the cross gesture thing is called the “sign of the cross” in most Christian groups or whatever you call them
You have to keep pointing out the bad shit he does, or some people are gonna forget
I think Google Pay used to have something similar, until Google axed the whole thing in favor of Google Wallet
If you’re interested in fedora atomic desktops, I would check out one of the uBlue projects (you can even switch back to plain old fedora atomic if you want)
It’s probably more to mean they didn’t make a blog post or a popup dialog or something
But yeah a lot of media headlines and wording tends to make things as sensationalized as possible bc clicks or smth
When seemingly everyone in your life is telling you lies about “oh we just hate the sin, not the sinner”, it’s really hard to see it for what it is That and some very specific parts of Catholicism and Christianity in general are very comforting. Also, if you were born into it, breaking away could mean losing everyone close to you or having to put up with people trying to convert you back
A website similar to 4chan, but much much worse. They’d dox pretty much anyone they didn’t like, often LGBTQ+ people and allies
Yeah I mostly said that because some distros have different difficulty getting them last I checked, but the wording was unclear to say the least
I use bazzite, and it admittedly isn’t the best for out-of-the-box development work because of it being atomic
You can just make a container for your development, but I’d rather not (I just layer packages atm and I’m working on making my own image based on it that has the stuff I want)
I typically recommend pop!_os over Manjaro
Realistically, though, most distros will work well for gaming if you install steam, proton-up, and maybe lutris so long as you don’t need Nvidia drivers
I liked it except for that “ad blocking is piracy” shit he snuck in there
Has ddg ever really claimed to use its own index? I’ve always thought of it being a bing frontend
edit: Apparently start page pulls from Google and Bing (going off of this)
I disagree. I’ve used KDE’s discover thingy to install stuff basically through dnf on fedora. It’s incredibly possible for the average user, who basically just browses the web and maybe writes documents.
I stumbled upon this like 5 hours too late, but hi this is your reminder
Well, it brings the knowledge that if minors do get a double mastectomy (top surgery), they have to be on testosterone for a while (minimum of a year, which is a LONG time to figure out that maybe you don’t like these changes). They also have to get consent from parents and 2 separate therapists plus an endocrinologist need to sign off on the surgery.
I feel like if you knew this, it’d probably be a lot less scary to you. They have to jump through a lot of hoops and every hoop gives a lot of time for them to figure out if this is the right choice.
