4·2 months agoHere’s a list of games and controllers with the feature implemented. Never thought about modding an og, seems it’s usually suggested to just use a dualshock3, I’ll searching more into that.

2·2 months agoCensorship
“The original PlayStation version of Resident Evil went through several changes between its original Japanese release and its international counterparts. The North American and European versions of the intro were heavily cut from the one featured in the Japanese releases. Shots of mangled corpses, a “Cerberus” zombie dog being shot, Joseph’s death, and Kenneth’s severed head were edited out, as well as scenes featuring the character Chris Redfield smoking a cigarette.” —Wikipedia

Edit: I correct myself, you want the romhack one, which restore the og japanese version

2·2 months agoGood furniture are game changer, also don’t keep all your consoles in a single area since they probably need different screens anyway. I use wireless receivers, and avoid unnecessary systems.

3·3 months agoYeah, that’s very interesting and also a personal preference but to me good scanlines are always appreciated. I picked this 14" and it looks great but I’m curious to try a slightly bigger model to compare the scanlines experience, I’m thinking about a 20" mostly for 480i gen.

3·3 months agoDo you have another one to compare? There are a tons of fake-dualshock3 on the market, or maybe it’s just normal usure on that one.

3·3 months agoX360 games tend to be better because PS3’s architecture was a nightmare for developers but as pure hardware PS3 is superior, you can see it on quality PS3 exclusives or in the latest games in that gen, when the Cell processor was well known.
As a gamer it make much sense to collect every good game on blurays but many PS3 titles are just bad X360 ports (Bayonetta, BioShock, etc).

4·3 months agoPS3 slim/superslim is good to keep also unmodded, it’s very solid and cheap, BDs are nice to collect and they would need a lot of GBs (I’m always pro piracy btw).
Just keep in mind in that gen many games are better on X360, I collect PS3 games if exclusive or if the port is very comparable.
A X360 is a great console to softmod, equally cheap and it cover all the games with superior version without the need to buy DVDs (a bad format to collect in my opinion).

Real console are perfectly fine if you know what you are doing, also not necessary at all to enjoy a CRT (but suggested).
Just a 14" for 240p games at the moment. I will go for a 20-25“ in the future for 480i.
Maybe you’ll find a converter but consider the costs: you can find cheap used VGA monitors, you can also find raspberry/old PC with analog video output.

I can’t find a working PAL code for the X-axis inversion in .gct (so readable by nintendont).
Today I’ll try to install SWISS which is a manager for GameCube available also on Wii, it should have a built-in option for the camera.
