If you also have a child that’s learning one language more than the other (because the primary language at school etc), communicate to them in your language, but understand what their needs are in their language, and reinforce it in your language (eg : Her : “Quiero agua” Me :“you want water? With thatcher it’s a bit more straightforward for some of the things she did and it’s wide ranging impacts. I don’t think Merkel decimated entire regions of germany the way thatcher did to britain, even though she made some people very rich.

Merkel may have made choices that had undesired impacts, but thatcher was really something else.

I purposely avoided putting her name in as she is a complex ruler who is largely average and debatable the same way most male leaders are and her decisions can be interpreted in multiple ways by multiple people…
