So many layoffs across all industries. Earlier this year I moved out of the US leaving my job in the tech industry behind, out of curiosity I wanted to see if my former position was filled and I saw that the position is open for half the salary.
Without strikes and boycotts nothing will fundamentally change. This is a minor inconvenience that is if the ruling class even noticed.
Both parties work towards the same end, only the means are different.
Even at my workplace I asked HR for permission to switch the office desktop to GNU+Linux. They required the installation of a few malware spyware but otherwise didn’t mind.
I have been using GNU+Linux on and off since 2007 only using Windows when needed to. Now I’m fully Windows-free and intend to keep it this way.
