If you have Republican congressors, ask them why they shut the government down instead of accepting the Democrat’s fair, common-sense additions. Make sure they know you blame them.

Trump & co. are using every resource they have right now to make you think this is the Democrat’s fault. It isn’t. Don’t be a mark. We’re careening towards a cliff right now and the only people in the world with a brake pedal are a handful of Democrats in the Senate. Let them use it.

They didn’t just refuse to sign it, they actually did their job and made a counterproposal that protected funding for Healthcare (among other things). Republicans refused to even acknowledge it and shut the government down.

As an American, your empathy is appreciated but honestly save it for people more worthwhile. There was genuinely a good defense for being MAGA in like 2016, but these people have spent a decade doing nothing but choosing to stick their head in the sand further and further while proof of how fucking bad Trump is piles up around them. Understand: all this would be stopped in a second if Republicans accepted the Democrat budget proposal. This isnt the D’s fault, no matter how many scaremongering propaganda headlines you see trying to convince you that the Democrats should just sign the Republican budget and move on. Things are much better right now in a shutdown than they would be if the Republicans get their budget passed.
