Instead of cutting it off at a right angle you cut it at an angle. Personally I’m French and yeah I know of the technique but I’m not the biggest fan necessarily. Works best if you’re making 2 sandwiches out of 1 baguette and fill it up first before doing the middle cut.

Wasn’t even in Belgium but in France near the border and there was one of these shops setup in a kinda temporary thing on the highway. Still felt a bit peckish after the tiny triangle sandwich so ordered a small fry, was greeted with not much less than pictured here haha. Had to share them to get through it.

I’m mostly joking, I think it’s great if we can become space farers, just can’t help but think about what we did the last time we were out colonizing…

7·28 days agoMy family has been in that area he’s moved to for a couple generations. It’s really nice and it’s the south, but it’s very far away from the busy/fancy parts of the côte d’azur. I can definitely see why they’d choose going there. The only downside to this whole region is it votes pretty right wing and you can sometimes feel it in conversations with the locals, but since I’m sure they’re still pretty insulated they probably don’t feel that.
At the moment unless you have some really rare stuff the numismatic value is generally less than the gold itself, I know for sure at least with standard “Napoleon” coins that is the case.

3·2 months agoUnforeseen is pretty clear, by definition, that they’re things we wouldn’t be able to predict until they happen. I agree with the general sentiment in this thread btw, using genetics to prevent hereditary conditions or otherwise improve the human condition sounds great on paper but it’s risky business.

The French use “Visio” kinda like a generic term to talk about a video call (short for visio-conférence), I find that much better already than that W nonsense.
