Cool wind blows
Autumn’s herald harkens
Balls sweat no more

Fuck man… I’m so over capitalism. Shits just exhausting…
If you’re in the US, Spanish. It might actually be useful.
Maybe if they don’t get a cut. But everything I know about organized crime comes from the sopranos.
Day late and a dollar short.
No Italians or pollaks tho. Gotta have standards…
Boo. That shit carries so far. I go to the woods to get away from human bullshit. I’d much prefer the wind through the land with a birdsong accompaniment.
Yes! The amount of people who feel entitled to blast noise is too damn high! I was gonna comment on playing noise n speakers in public settings, but I’ll happily pile on here.
Gotta have an at least semiliterate middle management.
He sees the Russian oligarchs, basically medieval duchies where they’re a law unto themselves (unless they piss off papa Putin, then it’s out the window) and thinks that’s a pretty neat deal.
Tell them they’re all fake people for a free extension to your stay!
I always thought the timing on events surrounding that was super sus. 1st Bernie tricks congress into giving people a weekly check. Que the powers that be clutching their pearls and decrying “nobody wants to work anymore!” Next we have one of the largest influxes of immigrants we’ve ever had, with the border more or less flung open. Lots of cheap willing labor. Lord forbid American workers get a leg up. And once again we’re fighting anything but a class war.
Edit: don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating on anyone who showed up looking for a better life. I hate the powers that be scheming to keep the price of labor low, scheming to sow discord and xenophobia in a crass and clumsy reaction to a huge swath of our population not needing their peon style economic arrangement for a few mere weeks.
Public transportation doesn’t work in the endless suburbs and stripmalls we’ve built. It’s too spread out, and we’ve been doing it for a few generations now. It’s difficult for my countrypeople to imagine living differently, to imagine that our current existence may not be their birthright.
People think nothing of living 20 plus miles from where they work or go to school, can’t imagine a world where such a thing is a ridiculous notion. We could have all these nice things. People want a better world, a more functional city.
But ask people to change, to live a smaller life, and be prepared for a deluge of excuses and justifications. We all wake up and collectively decide the world we’re gonna live in today.
Idk about running sims, but I switched over a yearish ago. It was a release of anxiety I didn’t even know I was carrying around with me. Just a break from the relentless capitalization and enshittification that windows jams down your throat at every given moment. It’s so nice having a system that doesn’t spy on me, does what I want when I want it, and never locks me out for any reason. I don’t have to reset the privacy settings after every update. It works faster too. 10/10 recommend.
Any “big game”. Moose taste like swamp.
Venison can be good if it’s properly butchered and stored. It so often isn’t though. People will shoot a deer then leave it to hang for a day in 50-60 degree weather. Just gross.
Bears are too greasy. And they’re too smart, eating them is just bad karma.
A lot of game meat can be good, people just have no clue what to do with the processing side of it. They’ll spend thousands of dollars buying the most ridiculous gear to kill the damn thing, and then just fail at butchering and preserving. Hunting is the easy part.
Perch are good if you fry them right. But I live up north where the water stays cooler, I think it makes the fish taste better. You go down south and anything you catch just tastes like swamp.
Credit unions are the way to go. Seriously if your reading this and have an account with a mega corp, go to a credit union. Start with a checking account, in time you can migrate all your other stuff over. Better deals on loans, and they’re not predators. And you have a better chance of not enriching the billionaire class while you’re at it.
Get a camper and try it for a season. You might love it you might hate it. But you’ll have some idea of the million little details that make living in a bumfuck rural area difficult. Getting groceries, medical care, just seeing other people.
I’ve known people who thought they loved living in the middle of nowhere and end up putting in several hundred driving miles per week because they would come to town on the slightest pretext, because they were bored and felt cooped up. Rural life was not for them. Are you the sort who cannot go anywhere for a week plus and be happy about it?
You’ll also see the stars every night, hear the wind and come to know the land. Pros and cons. Try before you buy.
Jesus wept. It’s like somebody read about a poorly written supervillain in some comic book and said "ya, let’s go with that "
