Prices have gone up, not costs. The increase in overhead for these places hasn’t gone towards maintaining the same product quality, much less improving it, nor has it gone towards the pay of workers, and its not really even the real estate.

Oh, Hmmm, thats a rather interesting route I didn’t think to go down. Most of my interests amd consumed content on AI has been through videos/explanations by people much smarter than I, and not really through use of any LLM’s in any sort of manner except a few exchanges with a few of OpenAi’s models over the last few years. Didn’t even consider that those sorts of things were a common thing.

My limited LLM knowledge does lead me to believe that both interpretations of the question would more or less boil down to the same thing though. A little search engine hunting of my own has also come up empty, and I’m curious if this one of those super interesting and crazy associated token relationships, or if there is just a crapload of content I can’t find.

But in the brief look at replies that I gave, it did appear to be rather unkind, and certainly missing any reply of use. I wouldn’t be surprised that it only got worse in the time I took to make my comment (me be slow typist), and can’t say I blame OP for being upset.

Although the app’s designer went and somewhat enshitified things by placing a few features under a subscription, my app for waking up is the best app I’ve ever come across.

Its called Alarmy and the free version is more than enough to make anyone wake up if they really need to.

One factor to keep in mind though, is human productivity only happens at that kind of speed if they (the citizens involved) feel like they are getting something back from the process. And Chinese disillusionment with their own economy is growing.

Currently next to my partner who is playing/using a app called Finch thats a mix between Sims decoration and a habit tracker, and of checks all your boxes. The artwork is adorable.
