I bet there are millions of Americans like this too. Coal miners who lost the job, casino players, heavy drinkers. For a hefty sum of money and a chance to be important again they’d do anything. You really underestimate how quick they can be turned into a cannon fodder and how little the society will miss them.

I don’t use steam, I buy games on GOG. Just install it via Lutris and pick system wine in runner options. And do the regedit trick with the graphics driver: link

I don’t use proton, I use system wine instead. There are also wine builds by Glorious Eggroll with applied proton patches if you need them.

It doesn’t help much though, performance is exactly the same as Xwayland

Iran is ruled by IRGC right now. If the community is discriminating to begin with, you have to fight. I’m yet to see how Nix community is discriminating. What I saw is that an active developer got actually banned just for arguing against an affirmative action.

If the community itself is discriminating, there’s no way out than to fight or wait for an opportunity. We don’t see black empowerment in China or a pride parade in Iran.

What I saw in Nix community right now is someone proposed an affirmative action and Jon refused. I don’t see discrimination here.
