I do agree with your points. I think it’s certainly an insightful book (just not in the way Orwell intended) but not a good book.
It’s short, it’s incredibly concise, it doesn’t use needless academicisms, and it’s surprisingly very funny. It’s probably the best value-to-volume ratio of any political text imo.
Panem et circenses except you’re gouged for your panem and the circus is congress itself
It’s short, but not punchy. It’s a
hundred pages of diatribes, some misogyny, a story beat, another fifty pages raving about bureaucracy, a story beat, and 100 pages about brainwashing and how socialism fucking sucks. Then the most half-baked “how do I tie this bad essay together?” ending.
It’s Atlas Shrugged for people who do take showers.
That’s not true, they’ve also read 1984 and thought all “adult” books are gonna be this fucking dreadful and boring so they don’t read anymore, they just pretend idiocracy was a documentary 1984 is like, so true, man
There are no words
They’re agreeing with your point
He spent the rest of his lif living with Nancy Reagan so I think he kinda got his due
Mike Huckabee is gonna bust a nut when he hears about the new plague to go along with his armageddon
The book is just a vehicle for their narcissism and delusions of grandeur. Every verse is about them and their righteous holy war. Every critical verse is about their personal enemies.
Just smicause

Just about everything.
You don’t have to like their domestic policies, but they’ve been more than reasonable in their relationship to the international community. That can’t be said about any government in Western Europe or their rabid dog occupying Palestine.
The fact that he can do all of this and face zero opposition within government and didn’t even get punished once he was out of office (despite popular demand) kind of proves you didn’t have a democracy to begin with.
Where was democracy when Bush’s brother stole the election for him?
And Gandhi didn’t do jack shit.
Only once violent resistance had forced the Brits away they went “oh by the way it was totally the guy who would have laid down in the street to be flattened by our tanks, in case anyone else wants to try it”
They need to fear more, clearly.
Y’all tried tens of thousands of protests but are giving up at one CEO? That’s a shitty sample size.
Well that’s settled then, politicians would never lie to provide cover for companies. Nothing else that happened that week could have explained it, the government has done this so often (without even announcing it to the people they want votes from) that this is for sure the only explanation.
But at what cost
They showed him the Epstein flight logs
