All Trump had to do was be calm, not talk about internet conspiracy theories, and not take the bate on things like crowd sizes. If he did that, he would’ve wildly exceeded people’s low expectations. He couldn’t do that. He has zero impulse control.

IMHO, Trump wants to debate her on immigration policy, and that’s the stuff that fires up his base. I think she made the right call by shutting down the debate around the topic.

If we want to keep the an autocrat and fundies out of office, she needs to focus on the top issues that are more likely to drive turnout.
