We’re talking about algorithmically-driven content, which wouldn’t apply to Lemmy, Mastodon, or many mom-and-pop sized pages and forums. Those have human moderation anyway, which the big sites don’t. If you’re making editorial decisions by weighting algorithmically-driven content, it’s not censorship to hold you accountable for the consequences of your editorial decisions. (Just as we would any major media outlet.)

Absolutely. There’s a part of me that wants to believe “this isn’t who we are”, but, with kidnapping victims detainees being murdered in ICE custody and people likely being murdered in our gulag in El Salvador (not that we’ll ever learn about it), it’s an eminently fair statement.

Not to mention that half of the people on SCOTUS outright lied repeatedly about their principles and values during their Senate confirmation hearings. They don’t deserve an iota of respect from good, reasonable people.
