Pretty sure its just hate and the vast majority of them don’t even know what medical science can do for a trans person. The vast majority of people who transition do not regret it which leads me to believe the treatment is more than some depressing impossible goal.

As others have mentioned he does have super strength but i would argue thats not the whole of the story. He is usually moving with the web not being tugged in random directions so the force would be similar to swinging on a rope swing, which many normal people do without breaking their wrists. The tugging would be more likely to dislocate or rip off rather than break. Most broken wrists occur from bad angles of the force or from landing on the wrist, not from a tugging or swinging motion.

My anecdote to contribute is i once had a rope wrapped around a solid object in a lake. The other end was loosely looped around my wrist while i was on a pontoon boat. The driver was backing up so we could do some measuring and i ran out of rope, it damm near pulled me off the boat but my wrist not only stopped the pontoon but kept it in place against the motor breifly without breaking. Its all about the angle of the force.

For me it was the money. I couldn’t make enough to get ahead in my hometown so i moved to a smaller city. My living costs went down and my wage went up. It really sucked leaving my friends and family behind but in less than 3 years i went from almost nothing to purchasing a small house.

Most people have a hard enough time getting their car close enough to the window to get the food or to handle the card reader. I doubt many people would enjoy the toucn screen ordering as the would struggle tk get close enough and may have to lean way out of their window to order. The touch screen would also have to work reliably while wet or freezing cold.

Then you’ve got the issue of someone has to clean it and even with regular cleaning it has a huge potential to spread germs. Ultimately with all the disadvantages i think it would be too slow, too inconvenient, and add extra real estate to the drive thru.

I know when i cut out excess refined sugar and barely ate any candy, fruit suddenly tasted better and sweeter. Now things like cola or candy are too sweet for me to enjoy. I’ll maybe have a handful of candy when previously i could eat a whole meals worth.

Men would still on average out perform women in most categories, making it very difficult for women to get to the top of the chart. High ELOs would almost exclussively be men and thats where the media focus and attention would be on, drowing out some of the top women atheletes in lower ELOs. In a system where the highest ELO wins a medal or something i think it would be less fair than having gendered ELOs. Something like amateur or beer league sports might benefit more from genderless ELO but i think it would be controversial for pro athletes.

I think a big part of it is there is a lot of propaganda in the country with conservatives being “fiscally responsible”. Their candidates rarely are fiscally responsible, for example conservative premier doug ford wants to rip out new bike lanes, spend money in court making bike lanes illegal, and promote car dependancy.

The conservatives also deny climate change and an upsetting amount of canadians deny climate change despite the recent wildfire smoke blanketing the country.

There are many places you can’t be legally armed. In Canada for example firearms are legal for hunting purposes, but even using one for genuine self defense will lead to lengthy legal battles at best.

I was thinking this as well, sure the sauce was shipped sterile but there are tons of places that leavev opened hot sauce out on tables for god only knows how long and they very rarely spoil.

A big part of it that finally made me pay for spotify is it helping me to find new music. Its not perfect, but when the app actually works correctly it will queue up music similar to the song or playlist you searched and it can help you find new bands or other songs by the artists you like. When i was just listening to my downloaded music I’d get stuck in a rut of the same few albums or artists.
