  • And a coastal state with a huge population and no understanding of things people in a landlocked state 700 miles away shouldn’t get to have more of a say in who controls the country. Without the electoral college, pretty much every president would come from one of the same 5 states every time, and the rest of the country would always get placed on the back burner, because “they never win elections”.

Each state should have more of an equal say in who the president is.

  • Aside from many being made for people over the age of 12, most animes have a story and an ending. It’s nice getting something that’s complete. X-men are awesome, but how many comic years was it before the end of their story? How much fluff is in there?

Western world creates a concept and milks it for as long as it can make a dollar. Japan does some of that too, for sure. Luffy may never end. But many other times they go into it to tell a story, get it done, and that’s it. Complete show. NGE was a single season. FMA was 2 seasons. Cowboy Bebop was just one season.

  • It was really BS that they made Mexico free of car tariffs, so all the US manufacturers would start assembling their vehicles down there. The US lost auto manufacturing jobs that would have been here, and the build quality of the assembly of the ones coming out of Mexico has mostly been worse. This was a direct result of allowing ford and gm to use cheap foreign labor, while still making all competition more expensive.

Having no tariffs anywhere would be a terrible idea (The US auto paying their employees $30+ an hour shouldn’t have to compete against China paying $2.80/hour). But leaving Mexico out of an import tax so the US can move their plants down there and not have to pay an import tax is corrupt as hell.
