I also misread this the first time. It’s not about Seat the company but seat heaters.

OK that article makes it pretty clear she is not associated. You could be right it’s for legal reasons.

The way she repeatedly emphasizes how far away she is from all of this makes me wonder how true that really is.

The EU is not a big enough market to justify a whole new, free iOS browser with a different engine that doesn’t work elsewhere. Which is why this EU policy was effectively useless.

I agree but I think it’s alright to have rescued pets. Would be better if they didn’t need to be rescued but that’s the way it is.

You must be on the edge all the time, caring about superficial things like that

I agree that Skibidi was trash. But 6 7 is honestly kinda funny because no one really gets it, it’s not annoying and you can sneak it into regular conversations without notice, while anyone who’s in on it can have a giggle. That’s true internet culture if you ask me.
I try not to be too judgmental because it’s just a new internet generation and I’m old.

Occasionally there is still some meme that stands out and lasts for a few weeks or more. See Skibidi Toilet or 6 7. But mostly it became much less interesting because everything is monetized now.
Most of the ones you mentioned were before 2010. I believe internet culture started dying with Gangnam Style. That’s when thing have gone mainstream and not an inside joke anymore.
But yes, real world events also kinda ruined everything.

Just recently I was driving down a road, it was sunset and the whole sky was just a very bright yellow like I’ve never seen before. With the black mountains (because the sun was behind) in the background as contrast it looked so amazing I thought „Damn you nature, you’re distracting me from driving!“. And because I was driving I couldn’t even snap a picture! People would say I photoshopped it anyways.

Whataboutism

Does anyone actually use alternative app stores? I installed Altstore back when this started in Europe and there is simply nothing interesting and nothing new was added since. On top of that I don’t really trust anything that’s in this store. I understand it’s good to have this option but it feels very theoretical.

I don’t have any problems.

Lemmy is social media
As for comparisons to gasoline, I’d be leaving the tank empty so that’s not a concern for me.
You would carry around a whole combustion engine just to leave it empty?? Wtf that’s even more waistful and inefficient. Get an older EV with a small battery if you’re so allergic to it.
Battery fires are not catastrophic, it just takes a different approach to deal with it and we already know how.

You can even take your favorite pieces home for continuous access.

For the dead person it doesn’t matter but for anyone else it’s better to put the rotting body where it doesn’t stink up the place.

It’s like going to a store and asking a random person nearby to pick out the item you want, which you are fully capable of reaching yourself, while you keep standing around and do nothing. Great human interaction.

I understand if the article is long or convoluted and you just need a short summary but even refusing to click the link and do a quick check is lazy AF and should not be encouraged. Or at least use AI for that.
Not sure if you’re joking. In case you’re not: don’t do it. Regular rooms are not built for this heat and humidity.
