Glad to see the turning of sentiment within the DNC. Perhaps Chuck Schumer got the message that people want him gone and is trying to stay wanted. Or maybe he is worried a third party will galvanize a voting bloc and take money from the Dems.

Ultimately this is a good thing as it shows a fire and regret in the same speech. Finally nice to see democracy start returning to the Democrats.

We had one cat and didn’t expect a second but it was a conversation that we had started and expected that maybe the first cat was alone and sad when we left for work (in the long ago era of 2013, a pre pandemic life). Given that the shelter was locally well respected we took a look and, yeah, it’s risky but that’s the nature of impulse purchases!

A cat. In line at the pet store for kitty litter and saw a literal pile of kittens near the check out. Turns out that the local shelter was having an adoption day and my partner found a black cat that immediately nuzzled into her shoulder and the little kitten motor purred so loud it sounded like snoring. They bonded in that moment and have been best friends for the last 14 years.

Also, realistically, what the hell can I do about it? I voted. I donate. I even write actual emails and not use form letters. I can’t influence DOGE. I don’t have enough money to bribe Trump or his cabinet. What the actual fuck is expected of an individual?

This wasn’t something people voted for. Assholes took advantage of an election to cause as much chaos as possible in a nation that was apparently involved in every country imaginable and vital to many. It’s hard to constantly be told America is a shit bag when most of us are unable to make any changes and voted for completely opposite people.
