That’s what my dog does.
He tears into the couch in one side of the house to get you annoyed, then runs to eat cat litter, then runs upstairs to take the kid’s toys.
Do enough chaos to get something and tire us out.
The comments here are smug as fuck.
That’s how Reddit was in the beginning.
Back then, you used to show someone “the front page of the internet” and it would literally be jailbait and tech news.
The defense of “it’s so easy just pick a server” is getting exhausting.
The average person wants something that works.
His Indian kids are reaching that age when they either realize he’s a hateful insufferable piece of shit, OR they themselves become spoiled rich assholes with no moral compass and live off the griff.
Some people need to be separated. This isn’t about censorship, it’s about group dynamics.
Let’s take it from both angles - just to avoid politics. A disruptive kid in a classroom affects every other kid. Get rid of that kid, and suddenly the whole classroom improves. Everyone can agree to that.
The other side - a company has a pro-union worker. Shitty company doesn’t like not controlling their workers, so they find a way to fire them.
Back to the Nazi, separate them from the rest of society. We don’t need them.
After watching Trump boost his crypto scams, I absolutely believe that the X wallet or whatever has the means to successfully fleece morons.
“Haha Democrats, Republicans… They’re all the same! Haha. Haha. Ha. Ha…”
(me wishing CVS/Rite aid/Walgreens didn’t destroy all the mom and pop drug stores)
They do. It’s the secret aisle, behind the store. Ask for Kenny.
Pretty much.
Every person who was surprised that “Biden isn’t running?” During the votes is part of the problem of why Trump got re-elected.
Damn the downvotes. Where is OP wrong?
Wikipedia CEO literally said that’s what he wants. He wants people to debate. He’s done interviews where he doesn’t want a single person to be the source of truth. The chaos is what brings consensus.
You have to be stupid if you don’t think companies don’t pay people for this. It’s really not difficult to hire a “Reputation Management” team to sprinkle positive information or at least control it. Im in team meetings about it, where we have staff members who moderate major social groups and lie about endorsements.
And bots! Lots of bots!
Typical infighting with open-source folks. It’s a personality war with nerds. Personally, id ignore the bs drama. Every project has their share.
Source: I contribute to open source and have absolutely gone nuclear a few times
Most of these devs would have cried if they met Linus Torvalds in his prime.
reddit legally owns our posts and identity
(Laughs in web scraping)
Any entry into the Fediverse is a good one!
Gateway drug!
Different vibes. I am really liking the pixelfed UI.
Every single company.
All it takes is your favorite company to suddenly be run by a CEO who wants to maximize profits or increase shareholder value, or worse, think they’re God’s Gift to the World. Or in the flip side, they’re fighting for survival so they have to make scummy decisions to keep afloat.
