Funny, informative, and introspective. Even learned “some things” about Einstein! Thanks for the link.

It’s not just his game show, imo. Not to push back on what you said. Really just to say I believe it’s much wider and longer than that. I can’t say I know the full impact if any, but whenever he was mentioned and displayed personally or mockingly it was always the same, rich guy everyone fawns over.

I might be telling on myself a little here, but I just rewatched an episode (about 30 seconds in) of Saved by the Bell, with a dating game show partly made up of the show’s normal cast as the contestants. Screech plays “Donald Chump”. He’s introduced and he fans a big wad of cash. I suppose it’s making fun of Trump, with the name used and maybe how it all played out, but I think the imagery might not convey only mockery. This is just one of many mentions, in many media, about the man over the years. How many people are just name dropped like that over and over?

Nonviolent rebellion—the strategic use of protests, strikes, and similar methods—has paralyzed authoritarian regimes and forced despots from power the world over. It can work in America too.

But I had ads for breakfast.

I just watched someone play through this on Twitch. Such a weird game.

Sounds like nothing compared to the January 6th insurrection, and everyone from that event was let out of jail. Weird priorities man.

So much damage.

What are we getting out of this war?

Even the senior HHS advisor, mentioned at the end there, gave him benefit of the doubt when they were coming to power. I don’t know what gave her any confidence in the first place. How is a vaccine sceptic good for healthcare?

I’ve seen yard signs related to data center push back near me. It’s anecdotal, but I’ve heard others speak about the cameras around here in negative ways (it was at a haircut!). It seems subdued, but I suspect there’s much more on people’s minds, they just aren’t letting it be known.

That’s good to hear some items have returned. I also wonder about things like relistings, if items have or will get moved around. Good discussion!

This led to a lot of good discussion around various places to buy digital music. My comment wasn’t so much drm focused as it was about licenses being removed. I’ve encountered that on Qobuz actually. Not many, but a few items are no longer available to be downloaded. I have already downloaded the files when I purchased the music, so that’s certainly something different than a movie or game that can’t be downloaded and used as such. That’s all, just the fact that the license can still be removed.

Digital music for purchase as well.

Hate and distraction

There was an attack on the capital by MAGA, where everyone involved was let out of jail by this administration. It’s terrorism and support for terrorism all in one.

Hegseth is a psycho murderer, drunk, ex-Fox News host. Completely unqualified. Yet, here we are.

I see from the article above, their recommendation is to use a drop box, especially if they are unable to block this order again. It’s a wise move.

That’s just too funny

I found Thanksgiving in a grocery store or two the other week, but wow. It’s a weird feeling to see it and then think the stuff in between somehow matters less. Maybe others don’t have that thought. It’s just depressing to see, or, mildly infuriating.

Yes. This is the better point.
