For example Lemmy has a 3d printer forum that has a few posts a week. Reddit has forums not just for 3d printing but for every specific model of printer and each gets a much activity as Lemmy’s generic forum.

If I’m searching for something, Google will show Reddit content but not Lemmy because there isn’t an answer on Lemmy.

There was a news story two weeks ago about Waymo taxis in Texas driving through 20 bus stops over a few days.

The only response was, “company officials treat this very seriously and are working on a fix.”

It’s bizarre how if you drove through twenty bus stops in three days, you would not only lose your license but be in jail on multiple charges.

But if a corporation does it it is, “Oops, we will do better next time.”

The stock market lets people who make giant bets give themselves an advantage. Also if they are famous or powerful they can announce what they are going to pick which will help make that number win.

Then there are HFT’s which is like if the house let really rich people install a camera tied to a computer and place bets just before the ball lands in the slot.

The answer is no on the immediate timeframe because current market prices already include Chinese manufacturing capacity. It will take years to build the factories that can bring prices down.
