That was Cat.
My favourite part of that scene though is when Rimmer says "We’ve lost it."Huge explosion “Sorry, I was looking at the wrong panel”
This was surprisingly the best technology premonition in the whole show. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve said “Sorry I was looking at the wrong screen.”

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•People who don't wear earphones outside - why, and what do you do instead?
31·17 days agoI’m taking steps to stop myself consuming content constantly so I’ve stopped listening to podcasts when I’m out. If I’m on a long train or plane journey in the future I’ll probably bring my earphones along but only then. Now I just walk and think.

11·1 month agoA lot of right wing nutters in the UK claim that Muslims are trying to take over the country and make everyone follow Sharia law, which doesn’t allow eating pork. Spouting off online that this move is part of that conspiracy would be very on brand for them. Much like Alex Jones’ “making the frogs gay” tirade.

6·2 months agoI heard the Alex Kidd in Miracle World theme music as soon as I saw that picture. The Master System was my first console. Alex Kidd was built in, I remember writing the roshambo combos for the bosses down everywhere. But I also had Sonic 1 and 2, Spiderman vs The Kingpin, Tom and Jerry: The Movie and Cool Spot. Fun times.

7·4 months agoI have one at home but I don’t stand at it much, just for a few minutes here and there. But it’s still useful that it moves. Its good to have it at the exact right height and raising it makes moving cables easier. I plugged in a new USB dock on my static desk at work the other day. It was a pain in the arse, the hole of which I almost exposed to the whole office when I got up off the floor.

What is it good for? Doing this probably.

Few things make me proud to be British, but the ingenious design of our plug sockets is one of them. TBF though we do need those safety features. Mains power here is 240v as opposed to 120v like a lot of countries. One mistake with a live wire would be the last one you’d ever make.
