They were bullshit, but the BBC really pushed it for years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NmdUcmLFkw
They just visited houses that didn’t have a license on record.
Edit: Apparently they were real. The BBC can fuck off.

I heard the Alex Kidd in Miracle World theme music as soon as I saw that picture. The Master System was my first console. Alex Kidd was built in, I remember writing the roshambo combos for the bosses down everywhere. But I also had Sonic 1 and 2, Spiderman vs The Kingpin, Tom and Jerry: The Movie and Cool Spot. Fun times.

Didn’t he have a panel in his X-Wing that displayed communication from R2?

Exactly why I opened the comments here

Yea ultimately the story has nothing to do with piracy but I imagine they included Only Fans in the headline because its good for SEO, ironically.

I have one at home but I don’t stand at it much, just for a few minutes here and there. But it’s still useful that it moves. Its good to have it at the exact right height and raising it makes moving cables easier. I plugged in a new USB dock on my static desk at work the other day. It was a pain in the arse, the hole of which I almost exposed to the whole office when I got up off the floor.

Now the kilt was only for day-to-day wear. In battle, we donned a full-length ballgown covered in sequins. The idea was to blind your opponent with luxury.

I said war! Huh! Good god y’all.
What is it good for? Doing this probably.
If you mean should you be embarrassed about being set up on a date by your parent then no, as others have pointed out in these comments it’s been happening since the dawn of time. I’m 38 and I’d love to be set up on a date by my parents or frankly anyone. But I think I’d find not being consulted about it a bit annoying.

if exists(thing) {
write(thing);
} else {
write(“I do not know”);
}
Yea I see what you mean, I guess in that sense they know if a state is true or false.

Then in that respect AIs aren’t even as powerful as an ordinary computer program.
No computer programs “know” anything. They’re just sets of instructions with varying complexity.

Isn’t there an theory that a truly sentient and benevolent AI would immediately shut itself down because it would be aware that it was having a catastrophic impact on the environment and that action would be the best one it could take for humanity?

Yea, if nothing else hopefully this will make at least a few kids think about online privacy.

I can’t say for certain because I wasn’t given one but I can’t imagine me and my friends would have been willing to communicate with each other on devices provided by our school. Even in the early 00s it would have been filled with spyware.

Oh yes, yesterday, that was when my troubles seemed so far away.

Yea, I can remember when the advice was to create a “handle” and never use your real details.

Remove “Burger Owner” from the headline.
It smells wrong
