Maybe there want to be a scam baiter like Kit Boga 😉
Do you see anything in logcat that looks sus when you insert the card? The logs might give some extra details.
Maybe things at Meta have changed after their “year of efficiency” but week one would be orientation and the start of boot camp and he wouldn’t normally already be on a team this soon. I’m calling BS and taking this as an amusing work of fiction.
Since I’m into 3D printing, I know of this project: https://github.com/gaifeng8864/klipper-on-android
It allows an android device to run a printer that uses the klipper firmware.
Can you link to that line in the code? I’m not seeing it, nor am I seeing the Internet permission being declared in AndroidManifest.xml
It’s easily pronounceable. It’s similar to saying “lick nuts”
Nigeria Launcher 😲
I would think a simple passive stylus for capacitive touch screens would work fine.
As an android enthusiast, who also is into the 3D printing scene, my first thought was “what does this launcher have to do with OctoPi and OctoPrint?”.
The answer, nothing… obviously. Guess it’s just an SEO and a me problem 🤪
Side loading of apps doesn’t require root 😉
I just checked and it turns up to date on the November patch so they likely pulled it once shit started hitting the fan.
How is this Android related?
Keep in mind that a factory reset won’t put the device back on a stable release, it’s just clearing out the data for the currently installed firmware.
Snarkiest
Most likely the update will contain the boot.img which would overwrite you’re rooted kernel, assuming a rooted Samsung device still takes updates.
The carrier can look at the packets TTL and assume if it’s not what they expect then it must have originated from another device via the hotspot. Verizon did, or maybe still does, use this to throttle hotspot traffic but not data originating from the phone.
At least the app option persists between system updates 😉
