            The protocol is 30 years old. It has been replaced 3 times over by thunderbold. The connector doesn’t fit on most modern devices and has been replaced by usb-c.

            Why would anyone want it back?

              the peripherals that use it are significantly cheaper now than their modern alternatives, and the cables go farther than USB 2.0 let alone 3.0 or thunderbolt. I like it for reasons similar to why I like VGA, namely price while still being good enough for modern usage.
