I live in a very liberal city in USA and I love metal so I see crazy edgy shit like that at shows all the time, I’ve come to learn it’s not only legal in China but it works pretty much the same way, the worse “censorship” you’d get is you might have to write a fake band name in your request to play, and I’ve known people who have done that in USA since the 80s to be able to play gigs.
